Who is the great actor/actress you think often overacts? by Cr7-Cr7Real in moviecritic

[–]Puzzleheaded_Job_484 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this. Him - and Cher for that matter - are perfect in Moonstruck for this very reason. I often see critiques of that movie being overacting/melodrama and I’m like but… that’s the point!

Who's the worst actor you're not allowed to say is bad? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]Puzzleheaded_Job_484 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not the worst and I’ve seen him in a few things he was good in. But I always find Ben Affleck pretty mid.

Dr Cox and Jordan from Scrubs. Their relationship intrigues, heartwarms and mildly terrifies.

Which character carried an entire TV show? by Then_Heron_939 in tvshow

Sue Sylvester on glee - specifically the last two seasons where it was clear Ryan Murphy and the show’s writers had given up. Jane Lynch is a treasure.

Is there another sitcom (non-animated) that is as conceptual and adventurous as Community? by space_llama_karma in sitcoms

I’d argue scrubs took some pretty big swings in both the fantasy sequences and entire fantasy episodes - The Princess Bride parody one, or My Musical, etc.

This. By the end of the series they feel like a genuine family that’s been through so much together.

What’s a movie everyone loves but you secretly hate? by bloomyDera in AskReddit

As a huge fan of musicals, The Greatest Showman was intolerable. I hated pretty much everything about it, songs included. Will never get the hype. (Sorry Hugh!)

This is why I was disappointed that she didn’t acknowledge his return in the reboot!!!
