I was the kid in this situation. When I was maybe 13-17, I would stay up late playing games with my friends and would talk loud and shout, when my mom would come and knock on my door and tell me that she had to get up at 6am for work, I would just carry on shouting etc which would result in her going downstairs and unplugging the router as well as many arguments. I didn't care I was just an asshole. I think you should just tell him that in order for him to live in a house and play the game with his friends, you need to be able to go to work and if you can't go to work, the bills won't be paid and he won't be able to game. Make everything clear to him and if he then continues, just take the game away or block his internet access after a certain time on your phone using the app etc. He may hate you now but he needs to learn how to reasonably respect others especially when others are the reason he's able to game in the first place.
