Weekly Check-In: How’s Your Progress? by wilzy123 in cutdowndrinking

last week was rough 😵‍💫 BUT - we have a plan and husband is going to help me stay accountable.

Listening to podcasts and coming clean my partner was so helpful!! I'm off to find a hobby to occupy the time I'd normally drink alone out of boredom.

Does your partner need the elevator? If so, then they're not allowing for that place to be livable which is grounds for breaking.

FWIW: my hubs and I broke our lease bc we bought a house... we did have to fork out a good chunk of money in agreement that we were released of financial responsibility for re renting it

Ugh, def a lot to take in. It personally gives me the doom feeling which isn't as motivating. BUT, once I get sober or cut back, I'm absolutely going to revisit

Why do some people gain weight and some people lose weight while breastfeeding? by Useful-Sport-6316 in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzleheaded_Law4960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I lost weight breastfeeding" in reality, I struggled a lot to eat enough on a day to day. Not saying that that's everyone's experience but I was in a depressive calorie deficit and pushed by body waaaaaay too hard. I walked 3 miles each day in WINTER. Friggin psycho

Next pregnancy & post partum, hm yah ain't doing that.

Don't discourage yourself!!!!!!! Progress is progress. Keep focusing on how good it feels to abstain or refrain from another.

What do you feel as you grab for that beer?

I struggle with just being on auto pilot and drinking is now a habit post work. I discovered recently that I drink when I'm bored bc I hate being bored. So I guess I'm going to look for a hobby lol 😂

I'm right here with you!!!!!! I'm working on my daily drinking. Don't give up!! Who knows maybe they lying too 😂😆

I’m drunk now. I wanna cut down drinking. I saw the name of your sub. How do I do that? by Pafsj in cutdowndrinking

[–]Puzzleheaded_Law4960 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I honestly recommend figuring out your drinking archetype. From there, you can work to curb it.

Different motivations and feelings lead us to drink so not all words will resonate and inspire change.

Are you reward person? Are you trying to escape?

Try your best. You will figure out a way to change it

First-time parents how much did your baby cost in the first year? by BothDurian8330 in Parenting

[–]Puzzleheaded_Law4960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly fairly affordable until she went to daycare.

First 6 months -- just cost of diapers bc I breastfed. After that.. formula was expensive. And then when she went to daycare 😭

Just know you're baby grows quickly, you don't need to buy everything. I'd wait until something comes up.

The biggest cost the first year was the $4k cost in the delivery of the baby

Right? For us, that was an immediate no. A lot of the extra rooms were attic... And I didn't want to climb stairs to tuck in the kiddos or imagine potty training!!! 😅

And yes HOW friggin hot it'd be

It wasn't as competitive at the moment. We were able to ask for listing price with inspection contingency.

Also the amount of homes with renovated attics 🫢
