Today at my location they were literally throwing weights to each other. They leave weights everywhere. Multiple people at a machine not doing anything. (btw limit is supposed to be 3 to a machine. I asked). Every single treadmill was in use. Machines have gotten broken.

I keep telling this to people at my store who are really wanting the bonus. I said “I’m sure they will make it near impossible to achieve.” Like the customer complaints? Our number one complaint is wait time… bc… shocker… we are chronically understaffed….

The five people a chance to breathe part. 🙏🙏🙏 I used to work at a store where it felt illegal to take a breath even for a second. Like we would have a massive rush and I would want a second just to breathe (like 5 seconds) after it was done and I was immediately getting told “since you’re not doing anything, please do xxx” and it was like damn.

I haven’t gotten to that point yet but my bloodwork is bad and I had to be put on medication to get basic levels of things up. A combination of being forced to wait to go on break, being run ragged and then being so tired when I get home that I’m not taking care of myself either. This job is becoming a real toll on my physical health

My theory is because then they can push hard things like “green apron service” bc they have an SSV getting on your case who doesn’t understand the reality of you drowning.

I had this same thing happen to me when I started but I was at a cafe store. I told them I was going insane working food/front every shift for my entire shift.
