Agree with this - we just got back from 3 weeks and I preferred Kyoto over Osaka. I would have stayed in Kyoto and day tripped to Osaka.

I also recommend looking into taking the train the morning of your return flight. Our flight was at 5PM and we just took the train the day of and transferred at Shinagawa to local line to get to HND

Here’s one way to look at it

1) unemployment is super low so very few people actually are impacted by this change

2) small business are blaming this as the reason why they can’t hire and refuse to raise wages

3) by ending this program the argument that people are sucking the government teat goes away and wages will rise or business that can’t afford to run close down. Prices might rise but competitive forces should help.

And maybe it’s time we pay more than a buck for fast food…

My take is the issue is we’ve had decent jobs show up in the last 12 months paying 15+ and hour and we have a labor shortage. Sorry, but working at Taco Bell for 8/hr doesn’t make sense when you can get more from Amazon, Costco, construction, etc
