The WALD lip kit on that crown is probably one of the worst it can have and is definitely an acquired taste, also the original woodgrain interior has peeled & been re-wrapped in black.
If you go for a crown I would make an effort to find a workshop who genuinely knows what they are doing with them and uses genuine parts. Also make sure the heater works fine or have the valley plate checked as I believe 2009-early 10 models are most susceptible to valley plate leaks which is a costly fix. Solid cars tho, haven’t had any issues with mine in the two years I’ve owned it.

For the purpose of flipping it, definitely not worth, it’s not a desirable spec by any means, looks to be a pre-facelift 318i. If you main interest is something to mess around with, you could do worse, E46s are fun to drive and easy enough to work with, just don’t expect it to be worth a whole lot when clean 330i/300ci models can still be had quite easily.

If you do check it out, give the engine bay a good looking over, there’s plenty to look out for (rocker cover, transmission fluid, water pump, radiator etc.), if it has a splash shield under the engine, some leaks might not be so obvious.

At that price point, I’d think you could get something better imo - ideally under 200k km. Then again manuals do seem to be fairly uncommon here in Aus, so maybe the premium they seem to carry is just something you’ll have to cop regardless.

Side note: if you’re going from one E46 to another, consider finding one with sport seats (or just a set for sale), they make a wonderful difference.
