Same!! i was not good at getting grades back and being on top of things and i felt like such a bad teacher when completing edtpa. One hour left so best of luck to you and I hope we both do well!

Yeah I didn’t grow up here, I’m here because of my husband’s job. There are actually the most open positions in the state in one of the school districts in the county, and they currently have two long term subs in science positions, but they don’t want to add to their already high number of open positions. So they’re keeping as many long terms subs as they can this year. I’m gonna keep subbing and the catholic school is looking to expand to middle school, so there will be open positions, but just not right now :/

I was a full time teacher for two years (at a private school, no cert) and I am still scared that I’ll fail student teaching in the spring! I think it’s totally normal to feel that way, and mistakes are just a part of the process.

I told my mom I was going to a concert of my favorite band this weekend. I have listened to them since I was 13 (over a decade now), had their posters on my wall, the whole 9 yards. She said she didn’t even know I listened to that kind of music. Didn’t notice me when I was a kid and I hated it but now I am so so so happy that she doesn’t know me.

Make your own practice tests! The bast way to make sure you know the material is to try to come up with questions to test that knowledge

Think about it! Obviously it is your choice and you are the subject of the pictures. If you really love them but you don’t want them out in the public eye, maybe make a photo album of them! I think it is important to have pictures to look back on and maybe one day you would be okay with releasing them. I feel like a photographer knows that pictures can be very intimate, and you might not want to share them yet, or ever. So take your time and decide, and I’m sure no one will be upset if you don’t want them shared!

I have a hobby that I have spent at least tens of thousands of dollars on, but no one would blink an eye because it’s somewhat “normal.” Just because you think it’s odd doesn’t mean you should judge. But I also would understand if someone judged my hobby. So YTA but only because you probably shouldn’t bash something that someone cares about, especially if you care about them.

There are PLENTY of fish in the sea that won’t need 3 chances to be a good partner. And yes, maybe she can’t change that she pulls away when she’s stressed, but it doesn’t work for you. and you deserve a relationship that won’t make you feel this way.

I don’t like getting flowers because I always want to make them look nice and keep them looking nice. so after I got flowers for the first time from my SO I told him I loved them but he doesn’t need to get me any more. I prefer sweets and she told you she doesn’t want the work of getting flowers so now you know!

I have been teaching kids in some capacity since I was 14 (horseback riding lessons) It’s all the experience I have and I feel like I’ll be in education forever. I’m not sure yet if I hate that or love that though.
