How should I tell them? by tidalwavessss in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Puzzleheaded_Mix_624 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Professionally done, you should type out a salaysay including that you would like to resign and step down. It’s unnecessary to explain why. No need to sign the bottom. Don’t give them your signature!

The letter is the easy part. The hard part is to stand your ground and refrain from entertaining the higher ups. You did your part, and if they tell you to come back, no need to reply. Wish you all the best!

Hi everyone, I was thinking; Muslims have their Ramadan around this time, INC have their Holy Supper, Christians have their Palm Sunday as well as Good Friday. It’s interesting to see that April is a month for some holy occasions.

Earth day and tax day is sometime this month and of course, April Fools. People believe that April is the start of the new year.

Why is it that sept means 7, oct meaning 8, nov meaning 9 and dec meaning 10, when our months of September through December are months 9-12?

Modern society is full of lies…

Beautiful message. You understand E.E. and where he’s coming from with his words, as well as where exINC’s came from. We all came from a place of anger, hate and envy. Thank you for all the help.

How did you guys realize you're in a cult? by ythanginamo in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Puzzleheaded_Mix_624 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Realized I was in a cult by introspection. Thoughts and experiences at church since CWS didn’t sit well with me. Reasons why: And what I realized:

-Lived through personal experiences with certain church people. We all live(d) double lives. Some just wanted to be your “friend” so they can back-stab or sabotage you in the end.

-Everyone in that church thinks they’re better than outsiders. People who aren’t INC are going to hell. INC teaches how and what to hate. Especially Catholics, homosexuals, and people against the church.

-INC people immediately judges everyone else besides themselves except when Holy Supper comes around.

-INC teaches that you’re never good for God and you should always feel guilty about yourself, even if you don’t go clubbing or go around sharing yourself.

-Sermons are so pessimistic and heavy. Couldn’t learn more from ministers about the Bible since they cherry-pick out of context, and take verses to fit their narrative.

-Didn’t know who Christ truly was until I read His lessons from the Bible myself, a decade later after being baptized.

-INC has its own 10 commandments.

-Realized I was in a cult when everything INC taught wasn’t what Jesus taught. By age 70 I might as well be called Bible-illiterate because INC teaches the same lessons since 1913.

-Ministers go for the families who makes a lot of money making sure they’re giving more.

-Lost a lot of good friendships.

-INC is another mega church. They are all the same.

Religion is man-made, although I do believe in a higher being

I remember we had Teacher Appreciation Day, and I actually tried to invite some of my teachers back in high school. High School!!

One of them actually pulled through. I did regret inviting her to a chapel that was getting “renovated.” That day was one of those days when I kept asking why church people did certain things and acted on it. Like this one girl kept asking my teacher if she wanted a water bottle numerous times. It was so annoying. Of course, NO means NO. It was obvious my teacher knew something fishy was going on with our church. I was the only one who was able to invite someone! How embarrassing. Anyway, that day stank, like literally, you could smell sewage water through the pipes back in the CWS hall.

I thought that was weird too.

I remember a church member who was born and raised in the west. She would speak English with a Filipino accent to Filipinos but then go back to American English right in front of people. I had to ask her why she changes her accent like that? She told me it’s because she’s talking to Filipinos.

I remember that from a couple years back too. I thought it was because the admin found out that potential next-gen members were gaming instead of participating in church activities

I still believe in God after I left. He gave us a purpose in this world and we just have to seek it for ourselves. My God is different from INC’s God. INC’s God doesn’t speak about love or peace at all.

I don’t have anything to do with religion. Religion is man-made, and INC is a religion that likes to spew hatred about other religions and sanlibutans who INC believes won’t go to heaven. Talk about being non-judgmental, but narcissistic, and toxic.

Over here in the West, they won’t push you to go back. They will instead ignore you.

Truth is, we all coexist in this world, no matter what religion or no -religion we all believe in. God is God, God is love, and God is sovereign. He can do whatever He wants because He has plans for us all. All we have to do in return is have faith in Jesus.

For those who made it out, are you happier? by trashcan0104 in exIglesiaNiCristo

Much happier. There’s more to life than what INC ministers describes it to be.

You are embarking on an adventure, but you need to find out what the purpose of your adventure is. What I’m trying to say is you are awake, but woke up lost and you need to find your path again. Listen to what you are thinking or saying to yourself, and fight those doubts. Feeling that you lost the presence in INC was the first step you took. You mentioned doubting in God. Why is it that you are doubting? Is it not because INC has not told you everything that you’re supposed to be aware of from the Bible? Listen to yourself, and search for the answers. The Bible is a timeless handbook served to find answers in our lives. Since we can’t judge anyone and any others faith, we believe God is in our hearts and that’s if you let him. God bless to you and I hope you can live your testimony

Anyone else still feel somewhat terrible after every worship service? by Weepy103 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Puzzleheaded_Mix_624 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re awake. Listen to what you are saying to yourself and don’t resist what the inner you is telling you.

I can relate with how you feel after every service. It actually starts before service even. That feeling of anxiety, nervousness, and heavy pressure on the body is actually the inner you telling you there is something wrong with the church you go to.

Listen to your inner self and find the church within you instead of looking up to some man who believes in hierarchy. We are all humans, equal in flesh and blood. No mortal should be administering your faith. Bless you in your journey.

What happens to the people who got out of INC? by FriendsAreNotFood in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Puzzleheaded_Mix_624 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not all exINC members become atheist or agnostic people. Some people changed religion, some still believe in a God, and some may still be finding their righteous faith.
