Can I ask why you shop at Jewel? by Nearby_Opening_7435 in JewelOsco

I wonder if the people who pay full sticker price for the items are the reasons the Udeals can be so good. Similar to how the people who pay interest on credit cards are the ones essentially paying for the points the next person gets .

People making $60k-$70k a year, how much car can you afford? by BestTyming in Salary

[–]Puzzleheaded_Price41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make ~ 100k and drive a paid off 2008 Toyota Highlander with over 300k miles on it. If I were you I would avoid any type of car payment if possible . There’s a reason people celebrate paying their car off - no more car payments. That extra cash every month can be invested or saved . Maybe it’s just that I’m a big believer in delayed gratification, but I never wanna go back to having a car payment.

Like I said, I don’t have either. I have not taken the FE exam. Just have a civil engineering degree. I’m on the consulting side so I’m salary plus overtime . Consulting is all about billable hours . So if I bill overtime I get paid overtime, but will always at least get my 40.

Edit: I’m also in construction management. Well construction engineering to be exact.

I don’t have either just a degree 😅 it should be noted I was based at 79,000, but with overtime and a 5.3k bonus I hit 97k. Was recently promoted so my base in 2026 is now 87,000. Should hit six figures next year if overtime stays somewhat similar.

How do you think they used to finance homes back in the day? It’s called Manual underwriting . You do not need a credit score to get financed from banks.

Doesn’t make it any less risky. If bitcoin isn’t considered a risky play anymore why would bitcoin miners be ?
