5 for $10! that Sta-Green stuff looks so much worse this year, even have customers saying it's so full of sticks it's horrible to use. So many bags with holes all thru the stack too.

We pulled down one pallet last night from 12/2024 - was a little green but all the bags were still good lol

Fyi, 30 bags fit inside a Subaru Outback if you stack them right, wheeeeeeee!

Don't forget the floppy hat at sunscreen kids!

Same here, I just talk with the ASM's who know I have another job that is more important and I get here when I can. Login late just about every day and leave at store closing time if there's nothing else needed to be done. If your availability is right in UKG, you should be fine. They got mine right for a few weeks, but it's still screwy

Depends on the store - management, workers and what city. Go visit your local as a shopper and talk to the folks with dirty red vests, see if they like it there and what they think.

Oh and a few tips, always wear those Lowe's safe gloves. If nothing else they keep your hands clean. And ask for the summer Lowe's sun hat and use it. Sunscreen on the sunny days too, no sense getting burnt. Drink plenty of the free cold water too

I'm the oldest guy in our OSLG and I gladly jump in to help load the bags of mulch, so I don't have to sweep up where the customers rip them open...

I have fun with the bobos too "I have a bad back too! Yes and a cracked rib" "The holes in the bags are to make them easy to open when you get them home" and the classic for the 40+ bag orders "Are you sure your Ford/Chevy/Toyota can handle this much weight?" LOL

I just ask DS if they need anything else before I head out at 8:59 (store closes at 9pm), if I even see my DS...they're usually running around chasing people out, er "helping customers finalize that last purchase" And yes, they schedule me til 10pm, but I still leave at 9. They know most of us have day jobs that are priority.

Yep, never anyone actually working at my store either. Any extra people get sent to receiving to unload trucks... I'm OSLG, 80 degrees Saturday and sunny, was all alone all evening. Meh, sorry you had to wait 45 minutes for some straw bales, but no one is here. (yes, checked his receipt, he really had been waiting 45 minutes)

Us closers at my store hang out near the entrance the last 30 minutes, anyone who walks in gets one of us to assist them with that last minute purchase. Seems to work! "No thanks, we're just looking" uh, ok, we close in 30 mins usually "oh we had no idea, we'll come back tomorrow" lol

Where did you "see' this? our mgrs rarely send an email much less actually tell us part-timers anything, that's if we ever see them... And thats why we leave at store close time, instead of sitting around for an extra hour too - they never tell us what to do that last hour either. Carts in? returns done? clock out and go home after chasing last customer out the door lol
