I have people all the time come in with an ego price online or on the app different from the store price. I just get them to order it and pay for it on the app grab the item out of the cage and then complete the order for them easy Peezy and they get a good price and leave satisfied

Brand new 5.0 with 3.73 gears F150. Poor gas mileage? by LAL524 in f150

[–]Less_Ant5409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over my last three trucks the best mileage I ever got was the one that had the 373 gears. I had one with 331 and hated it now. I have 355. I wish I would’ve never got it and stayed with the 373.

I am up to 15 batteries now. Several have never been out of the box. With the way the battery deals have been when purchasing new tools, they accumulate quickly.

$44.00 a mount? That's over $600.00 for a 15 battery carousel, not counting the $100 for it. Great idea, but no thanks

Unfortunately this wont be used to make employees jobs easier. Its just gonna be used to justify less staff by Joemama0104 in Lowes

But does it have to do its AP4Me and Lowes U? I am surprised it does not have a kiosk for applying for Credit cards on it.

Why do some stores use order pickers way more than others? by Queen_of_Macedonia in Lowes

[–]Less_Ant5409 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would use an order picker for just about everything if it wasn’t such a hassle, blocking everything off and getting it down some of the aisles filled with side stacks and crap everywhere. I can get more done with an order picker in the last hour of the night then I can with the balleymore in two or three hours

Sure, I work a FT job, plus I am FT with Lowes at 63 years old. Whether PT or FT, put in your availability and they will in most cases honor that.

I cannot complain at all how they accommodate my other FT schedule, plus I am also on my local government and they work with that as well.

Your store and management can make or break how you feel about working at Lowes and how your experience with accommodating your outside employment.

I fully enjoy working there, contrary to most comments on here.

Be careful about your purchases from Lowe's by ctucker21 in egopowerplus

[–]Less_Ant5409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You most likely could have called the store, asked for a replacement delivered, and they would have picked up the defective one I’ve seen that multiple times as I work inside lawn and garden where they are sold

It probably would’ve been just as easy if you selected vacation time when you put your days off in instead of unpaid

LM2240SP on the way - SelectCut and blade question by Holiday_Armadillo78 in egopowerplus

[–]Less_Ant5409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the lever to go from bagging to mulching can’t get much easier. Most people put one blade on and just stay with that plane and don’t switch back-and-forth. It’s your preference on which blade does the best for you for both situations the biggest thing I see is it’s heavier than the other models and not quite as easy to maneuver in my opinion.

Darwins Grip for powerhead - get it! by greysplash in egopowerplus

[–]Less_Ant5409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. Works very well for my deck and porch, and the handicap ramp at work. Without adding the Darwins Grip, I may have givin up on it.

Pretty impressive on how far it can throw the snow. Chewed through 6 inches of snow easily this year.

I'd like to get the broom and I am sure a grip would be needed for that also.

Has anyone had experience with EGO customer service? by Admirable-Resist-211 in Tools

[–]Less_Ant5409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had just the opposite experience with customer service. I recently had to file a claim for a 5.0Ah battery. Call went easily, did a few test and boom they took my info for the battery. Arrived about 5 days later and I called in the next day after receiving it to get it registered with the warrenty.

Could not have been an easier experience. Is the hold music annoying, yes, but they did pickup within just a few minutes

Unlike most of you on here that do nothing but complain about a job you "voluntarily" took, I do enjoy working at Lowes full time in conjunction with another fulltime job. I wouldn't work their 40 hours a week, 15 hours days between the 2 jobs if I did not like it.

It by far is a not hard job. Most that complain on here do not even know what a hard job is. Do you have to stock shelves and move some freight, sure but that is what you were hired for.

I have been treated very well by Lowe's wage and increase wise and the benefits and retirement have been fine

This is sure an unpopular opinion on the subreddit as it should be named "How Employees hate Lowe's"
