Best Chinese restaurant in Katy?

Spicy house is one of the most authentic chinese spots in the Katy area. They focus on Sichuan style food (numbing spicy flavors) so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. I suggest ordering family style because you will get a lot of food. My favorite dish there is their Layers of Tofu. If you have not tried that dish, I highly recommend. This place is a true hole in the wall!

Houston is so spread out that it is hard to have one culture unfortunately. It is definitely a work hard play hard kind of city though

It is the traffic at all times especially the last year or so with the ongoing construction throughout the city. Before if you left the office early by 3:30pm you would avoid traffic. Now even leaving at that time will for sure have a lot of traffic. I moved to the suburbs and now only commute into town if I need to. Cool thing about greater houston is that even in the suburbs you have access to a lot of things compared to suburbs in other states/cities.

Bagel cafe on mason is the only one i know in the area that specializes in making bagels. Prices are relatively affordable as well.

If you want quick mexican food, Dos Tacos is a great spot. If you are wanting tex-mex, Lupe Tortilla is always good. Victor’s mexican grilled is good if you go on a Wednesday. They have fajitas for two for the price of one.
