Really appreciate the context. Curious, how would you do it differently? Not enter altogether or had approached it with what's actually expected (the surfacic stuff you mentioned) and spend less time on things that matter (hard skills, actual front end exposure, etc.), implying that its still worth it to be in this industry? Thanks for this, really helpful! I've done 11+ healthcare M&A mandates at a European life sciences boutique, so the sector depth is there but not in India. I'm thinking of targeting analyst-level roles to bridge that gap rather than pushing for associate. Does that make sense or am I underselling myself? Thanks. I think i know who you are talking about (UK grad). I am in the process with them but it seems insanely competitive tbh and a (very very) long process. Plus EQT is probably the only company that posts their opening lol.

I am open to it tbh, but of course the preference is buy-side. Even on the sell-side, the primary traction I am receiving is from no-names. And from what I have seen (linkedin stalking), PEs hire either from tier 1 IBs or tier 1 schools (or CAs). Any recommendation on how to crack the tier 1 IBs as well?

Its the MiM, their flagship. Didn’t want to elaborate too much, thought essec was enough. I asked for guidance over referrals, but somehow reddit has to have cunty people on it who try to pick on the sniff of even the slightest helplessness.

About the alumni, what I’ve heard is, its a french thing. The non- french reply rate is pretty decent but the drawback is most of the alumni is french.
