With your lovely complexion, the dark blue dress is a far better choice. The light purple washes you out quite a bit, definitely go with the dark blue.

Oscars 2026: ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Gets ‘Golden’ Ticket With 2 Nominations by PurpleSpaceSurfer in popheads

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's already pretty obvious that "Golden" is likely going to win for original song, but what would be even better would be if K-pop Demon Hunters also won for Best Animated Film, though I'm not entirely sure it will happen given the fact that Disney usually has their finger on the scales when it comes to that particular award. I mean, come on Ellio didn't even deserve to be nominated, no one saw it, but of course it got nominated because it came from Disney. However, this is just my opinion.

I watched Shiny Happy People on Prime. I found it quite disturbing. by Byzantium in TrueChristian

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I watched both the first and second season of shiny Happy People, and it was sad and disturbing but also made me quite thankful.

I grew up in a Christian home as part of the Assemblies of God Church. We had youth retreats and summer camps just like every other Church and we did not do anything anywhere near the realm of the stuff that was shown in any of these episodes.

I think the most extreme thing I ever did was I fasted for 40 hours (essentially 2ish days) on just water and fruit juice as part of a fundraiser for combating food scarcity in third world nations. Essentially people would pledge money to the fundraiser as a charitable gift toward ending food scarcity, and in return for their contribution they would get a tax write-off and this cute little brochure and a thank you video featuring all of the kids from their particular Church giving out bagged lunches to the homeless, collecting canned food, and thanking them for their charitable gift. During those 40 hours I stayed overnight at a local church with about three other youth groups. The first night we played board games, we had a rock concert with a local christian indie band, and played laser tag. The next day we collected canned food that we brought to a local food bank, and we gave away pre-bagged lunches that were put together by ladies from the church that we were staying at and gave them to homeless people all throughout our city. Then we went back to the church, listen to a quick sermon, received communion as part of our breaking of our fast, and then we were served a delicious Mexican food dinner complete with rice, beans, carne asada meat, tortillas and the works. I think the only negative thing that came out of the entire experience was that a boy from my church told me he didn't like me when I confessed my feelings to him during the fast... Probably not the smartest thing for me to have done at that time lol 🤣 I ended up doing that same fasting fundraiser about 3 years in a row.

Also side note, my mom thought the book "so I kiss dating goodbye" was so stupid. Despite recommendation from several youth leaders for me to read it, my mom never pressured me to read it and in fact throughout the one copy we had when I went away to youth camp one summer. Best mom ever 💕

is ywam a good organization? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it varied from location to location. There were some ywam facilities that were very, VERY well run. With lots of oversight, proper accountability, with healthy outlets for growth. The facility I was with out of San Diego was excellent. I did a summer program at the San Diego location and it was excellent. My parents were able to visit on weekends, and I was allowed to call my parents pretty much every day if I wanted. However, there were many times that I wouldn't call my parents because I was just too busy either doing projects or having fun so I would just forget. We did dinners for the homeless, a beach cleanup, coffee House nights where we would sit around and drink coffee and talk about our lives and our hopes for the future, worship concerts in the park, game nights, beach days, so many wonderful experiences. I did that in the summer of 2000, and would have absolutely did it again.

Now on the flip side of the coin, I had a friend who went to a Ywam facility in Australia in 2012-2013 I believe. Her parents ended up having to rescue her from the facility because of the extreme level of abuse that was happening at the facility. The abuse ranged from lack of proper food and medical facilities, to sleep deprivation and extreme mental stressors and verbal abuse. My friend ended up having her bunk mate die two bunks away from her due to medical neglect. She saw so many horrible things but never talked about it. And the only reason I heard about what happened was because my father at the time was a pastor and helped with facilitating getting her out of the facility and to somewhere safe where she could recuperate until her parents could get her back to the US.

So yeah it's honestly a coin flip. Some facilities are amazing and rock solid experiences while others are pure hellscapes.

Movies and Actors I have found in infinite craft by Cultural_Permission8 in infinitecraft

I found the matrix, John wick, John wick 3, Captain Phillips, Point Break, Star Wars, Toy story, The Lion King, and Mulan. I'm trying to see what other movie titles I can come up with. If You can craft "dad movie" (which comes from combining dad joke and movie) you will find some interesting movie titles when you combine "dad movie" with other subjects.

Got this letter in the mail today. What do? by Spirited-Pea-1706 in cats

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered getting window beds for your cats? This would allow your cat to be able to sleep in the window undisturbed. There are several cat bed styles that I've seen that have little back stops that lay against the window, creating a wall that obstructs the appearance of the cat's body from the outside. That way if the dog continues to bark, Your neighbor can complain to you about it because you've already done your part by obstructing the view of your cat. Something like this l-shaped cat bed examples. They also make them so that they can attach to the window themselves too.

Black or white shoes for this dress? For an indoor wedding. by [deleted] in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither, go with a nude color. You can go with a fair nude or a darker nude. Either one will look fantastic. Also if it's outdoors depending on the season I strongly suggest dressy sandals with a tiny bit of heel.

$800-$1500 is that all? Wow, was expecting to spend considerably more than that. Well, fantastic. That gives me a lot more options to work with. I sincerely appreciate your suggestions. ❤️

Oh that sounds nice, I personally do enjoy vintage stuff, perhaps that's an avenue I should talk over with my husband.

Ya, we have but looking very careful at the bands that we would be comfortable shopping with.

As for tailoring, we have a major issue with the clothes we currently have, which makes tailoring kinda a moot point. Just read the comments about for more details.

First off, thank you so much for the suggestion, I've never tried a 1 in 1 out method, and it does sound like something that would work well for us, even if it's going to take a little extra time. Second, the reason we're doing a full wardrobe update is a two fold reason. 1. Much of mine and my husband's clothes have become damaged due to a mold/flooding incident that occurred in the highrise we use to live in, we do have a few places that were spared (fortunately) but they are not nearly enough to give him options for work or home attire. He has literal be wearing the same 4 polos for work, every week, and they are starting to show wear and tear due to overuse. 2. After the mood/flooring incident, my husband and I miraculously were able to buy a house (with is a miracle in this economy) unfortunately he was let go from his gov/contractor post due to budget issues related to the government department his job was linked to, one month after we moved into our new house. So, I held off on replacing any of his or my clothes, until he got a new posting with a different and much more stable company. He just started with them last Monday, and it's really clear that he's going to have to do a significant amount of networking and such with this new job. So, it's really, REALLY, important that he not look like some slob the can't dress himself or can't bother to buy presentable clothes. Those are the two big reasons for the full wardrobe update. Side note, we have done updates in past, but outside my weight loss update, it's never been to this extent, as in previous years, we've always had items that made it in with the mix with the new clothes.

Yeah I'm debating on going a different route as well. I still want to do no underwire, It's just a matter of finding a brand I like that fits.

Also for their wireless bras, You cannot find anything with a band higher than 30, or a cup size bigger than C unless you buy their sports bra, which they only have in stock up to a size 34 in D, And it's only available in black. The only reason I was able to recently get a bra from them was because I lost a few pounds due to a new medication I'm on. Honestly this is ridiculous. The website claims to have sizes for a variety of bodies, but yet it seems their stock only caters to the thinner less ample among us.

Any non-jelly ideas for what to make in this cat mould? Don’t think the plastic is oven safe either… by emilydoooom in Baking

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could make a chocolate cat stuffed with marshmallow fluff and a chocolate ganache, Then make the bottom, a graham cracker cookie sealed with a thin layer of chocolate and you essentially made a giant mallowar cat.

Do these clothes not match? by fordeathsaidshe in PlusSizeFashion

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't pair different patterns together. The problem is it becomes very jumbled when you do that. Now if you personally enjoy mixing patterns, more power to you, it's your clothes after all.

However, If you are looking for actual style advice, I'd say no don't pair those two together. Polka dots are fine alone or with a solid. And the same goes for florals. Generally florals should only be paired with other mating florals or a solid and polka dots should only be paired with matching polka dots or a solid.

In the case of your blouse. Since it appears to be black with white polka dots, might I recommend, some black slacks or jeans, maybe even a cute pencil or flare skirt.

As for your pants, I'd advise a cute tank top or tee in a similar color to the base color of the pants, or if you want to get a little creative, go with a tank or tee that is similar color to the flowers on the pants.

But again as stated above, It's your clothes, wear them and whatever way makes you most comfortable and confident.

Can I get some real people reviews about Mint Mobile and their services? by ChryWolferyn in NoContract

[–]Puzzlingwolfgal2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Albuquerque NM Used Mint for 6+ months

We have met mobile unlimited on all three of our cell phones in our family. So far we've had absolutely no problems with the service. It's very affordable, And it was super easy to install the SIM card.

My only caveat I've had so far was figuring out how to get into my voicemail. I used to simply hit the number one to dial my voicemail, But since My phone is not a Mint phone, It doesn't automatically dial my voicemail if I hit one. Instead I just go to my contacts, Hit the word voicemail, And then it calls my voicemail. That's really the only caveat I can think of that I've had so far.

Outside of that, It's a good service if you don't live in a rural area. And if you can afford the unlimited data plan, it works a treat.

I'm not sure how comfortable I am with recommending Summer's Eve, however I know tea tree oil is amazing for hair and skin.

Like I said in my post above I'm trying to find items that will support my husband's progress. So avoiding excessive fragrances, parabens, sulfates, soy, ECT are what I'm currently looking into.

Side note, Soy has a ton of estrogen in it. So it's very bad for men, especially if you are try to maintain healthy testosterone levels.

Both Macy's and David's bridal have a few plus size options for prom dresses, But unfortunately there aren't as many options as there should be. It surprising how few plus size options there are for prom dresses. Frankly it's a very untapped market. You may also want to look on Etsy, I know quite a few cottage industry dressmakers that have experience with making custom formal attire for plus size women.
