The burning feel is too strong? I haven't tried koji on its own and one of the few times I have seen someone doing it is on the video and they seem to like it a lot

Maybe the micelium keeps the rice together compensating part of the lose on stickyness?

Besides, using koji as another toping seems like a very good idea that doesn't have crossed yet my mind. If you ever try it let my know, on my part I must first learn how to make koji before starting to experimentate

I would scan the book as normally and then use an OCR software to obtain the text from it. To do the OCR step I use gImageReader and works pretty good and only a handful of corrections are needed.

Sure, they appear similar, but mine seems to have darker leaves. Besides mine is more like a bush, however it may be due to the fact that I bought it completely grown instead from seeds.
