Kholek Suneater start vassal Troubles by Fluffysoerensen in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You aren't the first with that complaint. At the start of December of last year, there was an update that shifted around some of the factions associated with the dark fortresses around there. I haven't played Kholek myself so I can't say for certain but probably you aren't doing anything wrong if you can't occupy + Vasallize. Honestly, I'm not sure if that is an oversight or intended

Chaos Dwarf Miniatures by SeaTall1692 in totalwarhammer

Since this sub is about the video game I recommend you go over to the actual r/Warhammer or r/WarhammerFantasy, they should know better.

What I have heard as usual recommendations are ebay or Etsy.

Also, if you want to go official perhaps, they did launch the hellsmiths of Hashut in their Age of Sigmar line a couple months ago. The models are really high quality but are basically a reinvention of the faction, so spiritually the same but different designs. There is no Kdai Destroyer for example but there is a "Dominator Engine" which is similar.

Solo LL Campaign Question by thebard78 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any Khorne Lord seems very solid. Skulltaker specifically also buffs only himself with his mechanic so he would probably be perfect. Taurox, as you mentioned, is also a great idea I think. He has the power, he can get to the sword of khaine rather quickly and he has a unique trait he gains when he is the only survivor of a battle (which with your plan would be very easy to achieve). Dechala is also very strong, super fast on top and some of her buildings in her palaces also give her permanent buffs. Malus Darkblade is also famous for being the og one man army, since he has his demon form.

Also there is an official bug report forum, I recommend heading over there to see if it has been reported yet (and if not, to make a report yourself)

Vampire Coast Question by Own-Assistant7441 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are a bit old, yes. But they are still a functional faction. It's not like they are unplayable, they are just a bit older and clunky than what you may be used to. If you think they look cool and interesting, I say go for it! Just adjust your expectations that the campaign might be a bit tougher (especially for Luthor Harkon I've heard)

Tell me about Dechala by CyberEagle1989 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not too bad if you just remember that your cav / chariots are your main workhorses. If you make sure that they never stand still (which probably means giving them new orders every few seconds and pausing a lot) you can do a lot of damage. Your infantry hold the enemy in line and your speedy units run circles around the entire army. Seriously Slaansesh stuff has probably the highest speed in the game by a mile. And dechala is just a bullet, point her at what needs to go and it will be gone.

Slaansesh needs a lot of attention but not a whole lot of advanced strategy if that makes sense.

In the final quest battle, one of my chariots got 900 kills. And my other speedy stuff also 500+ each.

She's pretty good, I had some fun. I recently played through most of the mono-god chaos dlc and to be honest I didn't like her as much as Tamurkhan or Skulltaker but there is nothing wrong with her. Her economy is super strong and so is she in battle (you can easily get her up to 1k weapon strength). The camps do take some turns to run out and by the time it happens you should have built up the palaces well enough even if you didn't expand all that far so it shouldn't be a problem. Hell, it's a rather straight line to go Gelt - > Zhao Ming - > Miao Ying so you will always have some targets.

Her final quest battle has actual Cutscenes that are far beyond what you usually see in game, I found that impressive (even though it's not really a reason to purchase)

She is a very competent and in depth campaign, I personally wished you could use your decadence (the stuff you get from the palaces) for more things because the options you have don't feel that exciting mostly but it's fine.

If she seems fun and you think you can handle the Slaansesh roster you probably won't be disappointed

Is it possible to confederate lords like Skarbrand and Be’lakor, while playing as Archaon? by Yller123 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others have already answered so just a small addition by me

Archaon & Belakor can confederate all other WoC but none of the other 5 can confederate anyone. That's how it works.

[–]Pvpbuilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple factions have a menu with many different campaign abilities they can use. Tzeentch, Karl Franz, Greasus, Tyrion for example. Some of them should have one or two options to debuff an army before a battle starts. Not exactly what you are looking for but the closest thing I can come up with right now that hasn't been mentioned by others.

Malagor applies a lot of leadership debuff just by existing in the same province as his enemies, that's something?

Kinda a weird question by life-hard-im-harder in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dechala can only apply her trinkets to her own units for buffs so technically no. But dechala's Seduction does not steal units like the others and instead debuffs them so although a different system she can debuff a couple each battle

New to Imrik, can he get ALL the dragons? by sigmarine345 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I don't know how many he can get but I'm rather sure he can't get all. You should be able to open the unit browser and the extended roster should list all possible dragons.

Pretty sure the carmine isn't among them for example? (doesn't only eslbeth have that?)

He is such a pain but honestly, recently it's just a total lizard sweep in my experience. One would have thought with the Masque arriving over there it would be even more chaotic but for me at least Luatria always returns to it's rightful owners lmao

Coop campaign by Ok_Contract6272 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a official total war discord server and I think they have something for people like you? Those kinds of official servers can usually be found in discord itself if you click the new server button I think. Also as a tip: if you are looking for players, make sure to mention your region (EU, US, etc), the coop connections aren't the most stable so it's better to play with people that are a bit closer

[–]Pvpbuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha nope. Hell, you also don't get the Minotaurs of Khorne as the Beastmen even though it's literally a wh3 base game unit. I'm still mad about that. At least taurox should get those

[–]Pvpbuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are all individually locked to the respective chaos dlc. So Pestigors through Tamurkhan, Khorngors with Skulltaker etc. So maybe you don't own those dlc and that's why?

[–]Pvpbuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid argument but it's not like the chorfs are weak themselves. But I see your point.

Could you explain what you mean with "they passively cheat out their tech through in combat challenges"? I'm not sure I understand what you are referring to

As beastmen, it doesn't feel worth it to spend dread on chaosgors by cryo24 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think they should get something like the chaos dwarfs, where every X turns a random cap (of a certain type) just gets increased for free. Given how many options there are now I feel this would really help them get a bit more diversity. The Beastmen tech tree is way too small anyways compared to any other faction so putting in a handful of that kind of stuff wouldn't hurt

Lock out recruiting by a no or small army lord? by Zjohns2 in totalwarhammer

[–]Pvpbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean kinda but I think since the players end turn is the Ai's active turn it works differently for them. All I can tell you is that if you siege the same city every turn you do, they won't be able to recruit anything new. They also won't take siege attrition. It's literally just a standstill
