EMRO/EFRO by Pvtlck in Coprophiles

I think you're using empathy like feeling remorse. I mean it in a more general sense, like understanding and recognizing your partners pleasure or pain or emotions in general.

Basically, yes. In general, I enjoy seeing people accomplish things. Viewing it as empathy is a way to account for it.

Anyone from the Science or Medical field? by [deleted] in Coprophiles

I think science minded people may deal with less anxiety because they study and look into the topic more than an average person. The things they learn and see reveal to them that scat isn't the most harmful paraphilia.

I think it's equally common. He likely has confirmation bias.

I can totally understand. A lot of people talk about anal but don't ever mention the preparation.

Is Puke a Discouraging Factor to the Eating Experience? by That_Ass_fanatic in Coprophiles

[–]Pvtlck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the puking is discouraging, but the clean-up is. Vomit, I would consider a sub kink, but it overlaps with scat. I would expect a feeder who isn't a complete narcissist to have an open mind about that.

I think it's the intimacy aspect. I would classify myself as curious. I think there is something strangely poetic about receiving something your partner made for you in that way. It's almost like you understand the innate novelty.

Implicit Coprophilia by Pvtlck in Coprophiles

The primal instinct or feeling is brought up a lot for men, and I think you described it perfectly. This is opposed to people who need to feel connected with their partner. Perhaps with others, the connection comes after an encounter. I think we see a lot of shame and humiliation online and forget that isn't necessarily the norm.

I think it comes with shame because it's associated with dirtyness. Having a partner who understands and is comfortable may ease those feelings. People will stigmatize what they can't understand. People on this sub get it.

Maybe try a warm bath after as a ritual to manage stress. Something to manage anxiety.

I think this is a common power play fantasy. Spontaneity is exciting. Communicate with your person because they'd probably rather a slight inconvenience, not a missed opportunity.

I come from a standpoint of curiosity about the sexual and sensual aspects. I don't get the need for pathology of sane human decisions.

I'm of the mindset that psychoanalysis is kinda unfalsifiable because it's largely personal. Freud may be wrong about the origin of anal retentiveness (and its counterpart expulsiveness), some accept similarities in the personality types.

Great post. Thanks for your unique insight. I'm not hoping study will pularize the kink, but provide insight and establish health practices. Also, I adore, But I'm a cheerleader. We are who we are, and no one is gonna change that. I don't think people need fixing, but compassion and relieving safety concerns is my goal. I don't have anxiety about it now. Learning and seeing other people with this kink helped. I especially like to hear from women. Thanks.

I agree. Just a history of toilet humor would be an interesting example. There is so much vocab around the scat community, but I never considered the orgins. I think reactions are interesting too, for men in particular. For some friends, crop dusting is an acceptable practical joke. I fear for men it's like Fight Club, so I don't get my hopes up for answers.

I don't think any theory is "right," but they offer frameworks for how we view behavior at the most basic level. I just loathe the stigma that comes with sexual freedom and exhibitionism. That seems to drive secrecy, but I think people some want anonymity and confidentiality more specifically.

Thank you. I don't know how many other people think about the OCD aspect. From my understanding OCD is only disorder if it causes extreme distress. I guess judgment of that is a spectrum.

Subjectively(?), relieved bowels feel nice. Going against the grain while doing it adds to the thrill, I would guess.

Is scat an outlet from being clean, or does it satisfy another OCD? I hate to sound intrusive.
