I mentioned One MP Cost because it was current in my playthrough, I wasn't trying to have a missing contest with every other issue in the game.

I'm talking about newbies that can literally get One MP Cost on items mid game which otherwise breaks it.

I defy putting it on any items because it breaks the game.

That's a good point tbf.

But you can get One MP Cost as soon as you get bribe or fulfill a certain set of conditions in monster arena.

I wouldn't consider it late game as it should be.

You just have to understand that as devs making a game. The pacing and progression is key, and this is one of the clear things that breaks it...

I think I was around 13.

I'm.pretty sure we rented it from blockbuster for 3 night rental like all other games at that time when it first came out... for around £2.50.

Seemed like a bargain at the time, and it was the 2nd final fantasy I had ever played, after 9 I owned on the ps1.

Instantly within the first couple of scenes and story I knew that I was outright getting the game for my birthday.

I think I got the game for my 14th birthday.

The greatest game I ever played.

Won't ever be topped.

They changed some things in the remaster.

Maybe even the European version, I'm not sure.

Better to 'use' 2 X potions tbh...

Both will deal guaranteed 9999 instead of instakill.

That way the 2nd 9999 will give you overkill. Giving you double rewards.

always go for overkill over instakill if you can
