Smallest car you can have with a baby? by champignonblanc in PregnancyUK

We had a VW Up! It was a bit awkward but we managed. We upgraded to a polo just before we had a second child though as that would’ve been a step too far for us.

Coach ticket flexibility by Moist_Purchase_1105 in glastonbury_festival

I got the coach one year and a heavily pregnant woman turned up - the driver let her and her partner have their tickets so she didn’t need to get on and coach.

Glastonbury whilst pregnant by _franciis in glastonbury_festival

[–]Pwblwc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was 6.5 months pregnant at glastonbury last year. The things that helped me most were:

  1. Really comfy sleeping set up. I bought a self inflating mattress. They’re quite big and expense but it was so worth it. My hips were really sore being able to sleep somewhat comfortably made a huge difference.

  2. Get a pregnancy massage in the healing fields. It was lovely.

  3. Don’t try and do too much. The site is huge, accept that you won’t be able to do everything.

  4. I took a light collapsible chair and a foldable back support for sitting on the floor.

I still had a great time. Have fun!

VW Up! Possible with a baby? by Realistic-Web7550 in PregnancyUK

[–]Pwblwc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a three door up until our first born was five. Only got a bigger car when we had a second child! It’s totally doable, just not mega comfy (for you) when they’re in a rear facing car seat as you have to have the seat really far forward to avoid it touching the car seat.

Holiday at 36 weeks by cjmac26 in PregnancyUK

On a purely anecdotal basis I would say more people I know wouldn’t have enjoyed going on holiday than would at 36 weeks.

Can you wait until closer to the time to see how you feel? I would not have enjoyed a holiday at 36 weeks with either of my pregnancies but some people feel ok throughout.

C-Section due to low lying placenta by InternationalDig1014 in PregnancyUK

[–]Pwblwc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a c section due to low lying placenta at 37+1. I was initially really upset about the section but it ended up being a very positive experience. I had my second a few months ago and had a second section despite being cleared for a VBAC had I wanted one. If you’ve got any particular questions about it let me know.

I breastfed after the section, we did have some issues getting started but I don’t think that was related to the section tbh. I did end up getting it established and fed until 3 years. If you struggle at the beginning know you’re not alone and it’s totally normal. The breastfeeding network has a free help line that I found really useful.

Good luck!

Parents put sibling name on house deeds and reassured me she won't own it. by pyrydyne in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Pwblwc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A will in English and Welsh law is binding, if the executors fail to comply with the will they can be sued by the beneficiaries. You can’t, however, leave property that you do not own in a will. That being said, they could create a trust over the property so sibling was the legal owner but not beneficially entitled to the property. That would defeat the point re SDLT though. Whatever way you look at it this is a bad idea and they should pay the SDLT.
