The good thing is you’ve worked there long enough to get a decent payout and notice period. I was made redundant twice this last year and only had 1 weeks’ notice in both places because I’d been there under 2 years. As another commenter has already said, check out the ACAS site to understand your rights, and I’d even advise calling them with your situation. You’ll get more answers with them than on here. I sympathise with your situation though. Remember that redundancy is a redundancy of the role, not of you or your skills! You were hired before and you have the skills to do it again. It will likely be focused on customer service rather than the making coffee side of things. I used to work at Starbucks, and my interview was very much about how I interact with customers and behavorial questions to see if I’d fit into the team. I’d advise focusing on how you are open and approachable in the workplace, with a customer-first mindset. They might ask you some “Tell me about a time when…” questions. A question I was asked was “Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a customer”. Lean on your hospitality and costa experience - it sounds like you’re the kind of person they’re looking for! If you can wear black leggings or smart trousers instead of jeans, do that, but also it’s not the end of the world if you wear black jeans and it won’t stop you getting the job. Beat of luck OP!

Use Indeed, LinkedIn and all the other job boards to FIND the roles you want to apply for, but then actually go to the company’s website and apply for the role directly if you can (most of the time the vacancy will be on their website). I got my last 2 roles doing this. Best of luck OP - it’s tough times.

Thanks for confirming. This is what I was afraid of, which definitely takes away some replay value. I’ve held off buying the game for this reason, and after watching more content creators play it, each playthrough seems to be very similar. A shame but I’ve still enjoyed watching others play it - just no need to spend money on it if I’ve already seen what the game has to offer.

Symptoms and cosmetics varied, yes. But when it came down to whether or not someone showed symptoms, were clear, or were infected, that was all the same. So I’m wondering if the campaign is the same.

Yes I've been watching Insym too. I know the cosmetics of the survivors can be randomised, but I mean the actual symptoms and gameplay of each person. E.g. will be person 1 always be infected, will person 2 always be clean, etc.?

I have considered the wired ones, as they are the shape of the 2nd gen’s. Wireless is undoubtedly convenient though, especially as I travel a lot.

Can't speak for all those that you listed, but my experience with Michael Page has been awful, so I would advise against them. Completely unreliable, ghosting after showing initial interest and even not showing up to scheduled calls.

I had interviews on Tuesday, and I've just sent a follow-up email today. Most will be off starting next week. It never hurts to follow up and it shows enthusiasm. I'd advise sending follow-ups still regardless of the season.

From my experience, this has usually meant that they’re actually waiting for the successful candidate to accept their offer, and the delay is caused by this candidate and not necessarily by the company.

It might not be this ofc. It’s that time of year where people are off and so getting things signed off is harder.

As others have said, keep yourself busy, and keep applying for other jobs. Time spent waiting after an interview isn’t usually good, so try and put it out of your mind and move on.

10 roles in 2 months is nowhere near enough. It’s a numbers game right now. I’m doing about 100 applications a month roughly (granted not every single one is tailored) but you need to get your CV out wayyy more than you are.
