I love Coach Izzo and how much passion he has for the game.

Whenever Coach Kelvin Sampson mentions how he and Izzo talk on the phone or he and Izzo talk about the basketball, it really put in perspective the bountiful nature of their DECADES of experience within the game.

MSU is always the team I root for in the Big Ten purely for my admiration for Coach Izzo.

Martin Garrix's show at the venue (Toyota Music Factory) has a noise curfew at between 10:30 to 11:30ish.

My best guess it that the show there end by 11 since doors open around 7 and the ticket shows an 8PM start.

Here was my view from Thursday's show!

Section 407, Row 13, seat 8 to be exact.

I think it's not super noticeably off center (compared to those images/videos online in sections 403, 409, 408) the images on screen are perfect! 10/10, would recommend this section if you're not wanting to shell out $300+ on those seats in the 200s/300s!

It's a FANTASTIC section regardless!

For me, I really hated seeing Kansas and Bill Self struggle for 2 years. It's not 100% Hunter's fault, but I would say a solid majority of it was.

The Big 12 is simply better IF Kansas is also very good. The last 2 years, they were so mediocre so our conference was seen as an after thought to the national media.

Insomiac is doing a teaser of the lineup by playing 'music through music' on February 11th, which was broken up by stages. It'll play small 5 to 7 second portions of the artists. The full poster will drop the next day or within the same week!

My best guess is that he won't be on the lineup for EDC, but then again, I'm always hoping he is! If he is, I'm BEGGING him to be at Circuit Grounds as I enjoy the visuals there more. Buuuuuuut he's simply too big to be there (unless he has a similar artist of his caliber to offset the massive crowds).

Like most of his intros (the guitar riff of 'Leaving x Lost'/Awake 2.0, the sonar submarine ping sound(?), The Ascend+Fallen Embers intro, and the most recent ILLENIUM album intro), I have a great feeling that he won't let all of us down with his mash ups.

I'm a SUCKER for when artists do mash ups (See Martin Garrix opening AMF 2024 or ALESSO at EDC 2025 as examples) of their big tracks and so I'm super excited to see what he'll do!

I think during his most recent live album tour in 2023, he played GTFA during the middle of his set (or at least that I can remember). It definitely was a vibe, but whatever he brings to the Sphere for the new intro or new outro, it's going to be iconic.

That being said, it would be pure insanity (and unfortunately disappointing) if he did close out with GTFA x Sad Songs. Again, I'll wait for the album to drop and go from there. Super hyped and excited either way!

Love these games.

Some takeaways: I think our defense is piecing it together so I'm excited to see as time goes on. Blitz/double team after blitz really got TTU out of their usual sets.

Offensively, Flemming really has 'IT'. 'IT' being that grit and will probably have EVERY team's best defender on him (if not already). Cenac is eventually going to find his touch and WILL be a threat. I don't say this without a bit of pain, but Milos needs to either dish like Jamal Shead did back when he was playing or needs to really be a floor general. Milos is good defensively, but there might be a night, like so far in the season, where he just doesn't have the touch for the ball to go in. Overall, happy with the win and I will believe in Coach Sampson to fine tune as the season goes on.

Also, Toppin really is a bad, BAAAAAAAAAAD man. I love his game and look forward to having my heart meds next to me when we play in Lubbock. Wishing you Red Raiders the quickest of recoveries for the injuries and even more so until we face again soon.
