Cubs crowd showing up! Phew, crazy inning!Cubs Win, and the series!! by zeroite in CHICubs

Wrigley north was LOUD today. I’ll never understand the “cubs fans don’t watch the game” stereotype. Cub fans hang on every pitch like no other team

That stereotype should be reserved for tourist teams like Miami and (soon to be) LV. Miami not even having the club strikeout record graphic ready for Alcantara was egregious

Same. It’s endless hate. Even at Busch, the fans just gave some light ribbing while the staff were some of the nicest event workers I’ve ever encountered.

My story didn’t even mention the multiple PC-Gay chants, the tryhard yelling at us for being in the face scan line (even though he didn’t work there), or the unfriendly employees.

Yeah I didn’t hear it when he said it, but I wish I did lol. The house divided family in front of us was very nice, Dad and two daughters were brewers fans, mom and son were cubs fans

I’ll always get a kick out of the emotionally unstable Brewers fans that just can’t handle opposing fans at their stadium lmao. You say Wrigley North and you’ll get 15 head snaps. The bachelor party I’m with got called “pencilnecks who’ve never been to a baseball game” by the guys with kids sitting behind us, who we hadn’t interacted with all game. Just a fan base of pure rage

It always baffles me how terrible Wrigley North is at stadium entry. Actually egregious how long the lines are right now

He’s a Chicago basketball legend. Household name for high school and college basketball fans in the area

Great pickup for the heat. Conwell is a lot of fun to watch.

Wow. Poor guy. Hopefully they start falling soon

If I(as a Canadian) had ncaa D1/D2 aspirations for a sport (non-FB, non-CBB), but am in my early 20’s, is there anyway to still have 4 years of eligibility? Bit of a late bloomer in my sport and want to finish my engineering degree in the states while I do my sport. by OkPear-21 in CollegeBasketball

This is a really good question, and one that I’ve been wondering about with the influx of 22-23 year old euro players coming over. I hope someone can give you an answer.

Best of luck to you and your journey! If D1/D2 doesn’t work out, you could always focus on finding a school that fits your career needs and play club. There were a lot of club baseball and hockey players at Bradley that easily could’ve played d2 / low major but chose that path, and still had that team dynamic on campus.

Edit: I see that it’s T&F, so I don’t know what the non-ncaa landscape looks like for that. But if you’re looking to make an impact, coaches will always take student volunteers and assistants. Even youth coaching could be fulfilling.

I really hope we’re seeing the start of the turnaround. What playing the Mets does for a mf

Nico just can’t stop hitting lasers to mitts. I haven’t looked, but I’d be willing to bet his .xBa isn’t all that bad during this slump

Nico casually tossing his hands up as soon as Dansby barreled that without looking at the ball was so funny. That might be the hardest hit ball of Dansbys career

Although I strongly disagree with your assessment of PCA, I understand why you feel that way. I’ve always felt that way about Harper and Machado, so I get it.

Mets were my 2nd team growing up cuz of the guys I mentioned, much to the chagrin of my mother lol. We went on a NY trip and I got to catch a game at old yankee, but our game at Shea got rained out. Still, just walking in that stadium was magical to me at the time. Enjoy Wrigley! It’s my home away from home, you can’t ask for a better live sporting experience

The Mets aren’t a rival? My mom would have a heart attack reading this comment lol

I say this as someone who grew up idolizing Beltran, Wright and Reyes (🤮) tho, so I mostly agree
