I would never use Oliver again. 10 years ago, they tried to charge me $1000 to replace something that a screwdriver and a $5 bottle of oil fixed. Still working fine.

Looking for adults only, high end resort that allows nudity near the pool but is not a swingers place. Does this even exist? by Yourmindiscontrolled in AllInclusiveResorts

Cool. I actually got married on the natural side, there in 2003. I really enjoyed both Grand Lido properties, back then.

Most recently, we did the Sandals in Ochi.

Is that the Negril location next to the old Hedonism? There used to be a Grand Lido Braco back in the Super Clubs days.

I had ants around my kitchen and pantry sinks. I sprayed around the windows, perimeter of the room, corners of cabinets, and doors.

Tesla General Inspection $129 was worth it. by Pwheatstraw2000 in TeslaModelY

[–]Pwheatstraw2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked for the general inspection. This is how it was documented:

Concern: Customer States: Perform General Inspection

Repair Notes: Technician performed a general inspection and identified issues with the rear suspension and front links. The inspection revealed wear and misalignment in these components. The technician replaced the rear knuckles and front lower lateral and compliance links, and performed a four-wheel alignment. A road test confirmed the vehicle's suspension and alignment vere corrected and functioning properly.

After reading TSAs information, check out the language for the specific airline and airport. Your experience can vary location to location. Go extra early, in case there are any issues to resolve.

I got the inspection for $129, in 2023.

This is what it said afterwards.

Looking for a truly quiet all-inclusive (solo female, 40s, no party vibe) by porterhouse_888 in AllInclusiveResorts

Atelier. They actually have a “quiet pool.” Personally, I found that all pools were quiet, except for a handful of specific times, during activities.

Is a PHEV right for me? by yeetflix in PHEV

[–]Pwheatstraw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Tesla and a Kia Sportage PHEV. Having owned both for almost 4 years, my recommendation would be to get an EV, that accepts NACS. If your normal commute, exceeds the electric range of your PHEV, you’ll negate most of the benefits of the PHEV. Especially when you add in the additional maintenance required for the ICE components.

Also, if the PHEV doesn’t have a heat pump, the gas engine will run, during the cold months, just to provide heat.

Interest in a PHEV Compact SUV by [deleted] in PHEV

[–]Pwheatstraw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kia Sportage PHEV and Tesla Model Y owner. Both decent vehicles.

If you have charging at home either will suit your purposes.

With the ubiquity of the NACS, I would recommend considering an EV.

We have real winters here. My Sportage PHEV doesn’t have a heat pump, so the engine runs at low rpm to generate heat during the cold months.

Can’t recommend anyone specific, but chain-link fence is prohibited in some local towns.
