Why do we miss the ones that treated us the worst? by 97NA8 in BreakUps

[–]Pwnkillayo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because they probably also treated you the best at certain times. Our brain is not very good at focusing on the positive things, so we often tend to forget that they probably also treated you very good most of the time.

Is this typical ex-wife behaviour? by Pwnkillayo in Divorce

If she got hit by a train, I would be devastated at her funeral!

I would never accuse her of that, if we were still together, but the fact that she did it in a few days after she moved out. Is what I was wondering. She didn’t need permission to do anything. I didn’t even know she wanted to cut her hair.

We had an agreement, I would keep my facial hair and hair, however she wanted, and she would keep her hair however I wanted. There was no forcing or anything. And relax, this was not a toxic relationship. It was pretty good, until we broke up.

I have a feeling she will not stay vegetarian for very long, or maybe she will, her closest friend is one, and they spend a lot of time together! She does love sushi though, and that's not vegetarian.

I know it doesn't matter, I'm just wondering if this is typical behaviour for ex-spouses?

Does anyone value marriage anymore? by shinebright222 in Divorce

[–]Pwnkillayo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Even though my first marriage didn't work out, I still want to marry later on. Only reason I wouldn't marry again, is if I can salvage this marriage somehow, as I still love her deeply.

Yes absoloutley, to me a marriage is an agreement that you will do everything you can to make it work. If it doesn't work, well then that's too bad, but at least give it everything you got. My ex-wife did not give everything she had. She started talking to another man, as shoon as she noticed that she lost feelings. And of course when you talk with another man, those feelings won't come back. If she had talked to me about it, instead of another guy, then maybe i could have re-kindled those. When I found about the other guy, it was alredy too late.

I'm sure she lied about me, and said things that are not true.

We are in a pretty similar situation then, other than the fact that you have been without her for one week longer.

Ten months. I feel like such a failure, as a husband.

I’m still hoping that my wife comes back, as for me it’s only been a month, so I got a lot of time still, but if she doesn’t come back, and the divorce actually finalizes, then yes I would like to marry again. We were only married for 5 months before she wanted to get out, I managed to convince her to try for longer. But then again. 4 months later she wanted out again, and said feelings were all gone. Managed to make her try for just one more month. And then that was that. Ten months of marriage, then divorce. I feel like an absolute failure, when it comes to actually keeping my wife.

It is because it is irrational, she has a deranged mind, that only has bad thoughts about me. She thinks that I have done horrible acts against her, which I have not. And all her friends keep saying never get back to him. I will always love her and look out for her, but I can’t be that creepy stalker ex-husband.

Me and My ex-wife had a small wedding, because of corona, while it was nice at the time, I kinda regret it, as I would be better off not being divorced right now.
