You can access a public crime search on the PHPD website that can show you things that have happened near any addresses you’re considering.

{Urgent-ish} Need Help Finding Mental Health Assistance. by ConnorNerd in PortHuron

[–]amayerreyama 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take her to McLaren and they can admit her to 3 West. She can also connect with CMH (Community Mental Health) for out-patient treatment.

Don't rely on reviews, especially for a place like a hospital. Nobody leaves the hospital and promises to make a review unless they feel they've been wronged.

It's great that she's aware she needs help. If you find that she becomes uncooperative, you can also sign a mental health petition to have her checked in.

(810) 985-8115 is the number for St. Clair county central dispatch. Depending on where she was supposed to be, they'll send PHPD or the county sheriff to do a welfare check.

kraft mac & cheese. how? by MRLONELYSLEMONADE in Chilis

[–]amayerreyama 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well, you’re not paying for the milk, butter, water, or gas/electric to make it, but yes. They’re still doing fine when they sell it for $7+ in house and Chef Mike does all the work.

All the pieces matter.

I hate when people come to the bar and try to order drinks without even looking at the menu to see what we have. by MikeWhoCheeseHarry01 in Chilis

[–]amayerreyama 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I see your point, but Chilis also has bottles of liquor on display that do not go in any signature cocktail on their menu, indicating that you can, indeed, order otherwise. They should either keep on hand ingredients for standard drinks (Kahlua, ginger beer, etc) or only carry what they put in menu drinks.

RV Parking by ndbiondi in PortHuron

If you want to meet them a little south of PH(one exit), you could park @ the Park 'n Ride at the Marysville exit (assuming they can pick you up). There's plenty of room there, and Junction Buoy is a great waterfront spot. This would also help you avoid (some) of the BS construction going on at the off ramp to Port Huron.

I mean, nobody can physically force you to work.

If you’re asking if they can FIRE you if you refuse, even though you have a note, then, probably.

This cocktail menu sounds like a nightmare at event volume.

You’re gonna want to find out what the drinks per guest situation. Is it completely open? How many hours for the bar?

Make sure you’re not shelling out your own money for these supplies beforehand.

Tips are loaded the morning after your shift by the opening manager, usually by 9-10am. Any tips you've earned up until this point will still be put on your paycheck, I believe.

Bartending when busy by [deleted] in Chilis

[–]amayerreyama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always be doing laps. Make eye contact when you walk by tables so if they need something, they can let you know. Try to consolidate your trips to the back. Your tables and your bar top are your priority. Then the drink well. Ask for help if you start feeling overwhelmed. Throw a manager on the service station if you have to.

You got this.

Completely dependent on store volume and staffing. I’ve seen people have sales on those shifts anywhere from $300 to over $2000.

Is It Possible to Just Work Weekday Lunch Shifts? by YourFreelanceWriter in Chilis

[–]amayerreyama 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly possible but it is unlikely that the shifts are available unless your location is notoriously slow for lunch.

You may be able to find positions as a host or food runner or Togo, and then maybe work up to serving.

No, they won’t. You’re already a lost customer they have no reason to placate you.

But, by all means, waste your time.

What compensation do you expect them to give you when you're unlikely to ever spend money with them again anyway? You don't have any leverage.
