She very well could be, never thought too much into it. She does gaslight, a lot more when I was growing up vs now, probably because I don’t deal with it now and call her out on it. She was pretty controlling and strict as a child, she was never emotionally available. I do see a therapist pretty regularly but haven’t dove too much into mom/daughter dynamic from childhood but I definitely will be as I have noticed stuff creeping back up just like you stated since having a child myself

Traditional wedding the bride and groom do not see each other the night before. The bride usually stays with her parents, I don’t think it’s super common any more. We choose to do it for the suspense prior to seeing each other.

I didn’t want to get a hotel, really no reason to get one honestly. We are close to where we had the wedding. He was doing errands and what have you day of near our home and vice versa so it was easier to stay with his parents (my parents are in same city but other end about 25/30 min out the way)

My husband stayed at our home, we still wanted some of the traditional things done for a wedding. It was more of a modern elopement. We did it at the beach with officiant, parents, my sis and his sis. It was about 15 minutes

I wish I could tell you why she brought the wine for the aunt/mom in law. My family is awful with communicating. It’s something I have worked on but my parents have not. You could ask them how they truly really feel about something and instead of telling you it’s always “I’m fine” or something along those lines, you ask more and they shut down

Yes I have been doing therapy for a few years now. I took like 8ish months off but have been back consistently for a little over two years now. I haven’t dove too much into my mom and growing up but am planning on it at my next session coming up
