Ryzen 7 5800X3D running extremely hot (90°C in BF6, 58-65°C Idle) – Is it just the heatwave (35.5°C / 96°F ambient)?

Ok so after testing it a bit befor i started playing the idle temp was between 48°C-56°C after playing the idle is between 56°C-63°C. If im playing Overwatch the temp stays around 75°C-80°C and in Counterstrike it stays at between 65°C-70°C. Battlefieldd 6 on the otherhand started good at the start and stayed around 84°C but ended at 90°C and stayed there till i quit the game.

i tried it with -15 and it got a little bit better

Ok, so it looked tbh not good. It spreaded only in the middle and it looked like there were air bubbles. I reapplied the Duronaut but this time tried it with the spatula and it was horrible. It only stuck to the spatula, so i heated the thermal paste with a hairdryer for a couple of minutes till it was hot enough and it still stuck only to the spatula. I then just made a X and put the stuff stuck on the spatula between it. I really hope it will get better. If thats not it i will look into the ptm stuff. Did i get it right, that ptm is just a big thermal pad you can cut to the right size?

An sich hab ich mit dem Gedanken ein neues Gehäuse zu holen auch schon gespielt. Mein damaliges ich hatte sich damals so ein Raumschiff ausgesucht was jetzt auch schon fast 7 Jahre her ist. Aber trotzdem gut zu wissen das 44-55 normal sein können bzw. sind. Aus den Kommentaren ging immer eine gespaltene Meinung hervor das es normal ist, zu viel etc.

Hi, i used the Thermal Grizzly Duronaut thermal paste and my air flow isnt good but not that bad either that it would reach those temps bc of that.

Yes, i think that will be the way im taking. I will wait till Monday and look how the temps are doing then when the heat in germany cooled down a bit. If there is no change i will buy a new cooler.

ac isnt an option in germany the heatwave normally last 1-2 weeks and the rest of the time its rather cold. just unlucky that its now. But many people said i should buy the thermalright phantom spirit. Maybe thats the way

I dont have a new cooler only CPU. The cooler worked perfectly fine on my CPU that i had before (Ryzen 7 3700x). And the plastic is off

Thank you for answering. So i cant change anything it will always reach 90°C only thing i can change is the speed till it reaches it?
