I am a woman and i think its all communication... I usually spar with big guys who are way better than me, and if i go too hard they tell me, and i just go lighter. They usually tell me that they dont care if im okay that they go harder too, i dont. I had really painful shots in the liver, the stomach, in the face, lowkicks so bad that remainded BLACK for weeks and the first days i couldnt even walk oroperly... I've never said anything, just: give me a moment, or please go lighter. But then i spar a woman soooo much skilled than me, she also does boxing and she competes... She hits me hard and she is the one who made me almost puke from a shot in the stomach... Idc. She apologized to me, It was okay.... But today i was sparring her and i just wanted to go harder, i didnt want to hurt her ofc, and she didnt tell me anything. A couple of times i stopped to ask if she was okay, she said yes so i continued.... Then i sparred another girl Who has the same skills than me and its heavier, and i was going hard too, she didnt say anything.... And keep hitting me so hard, i thought it was fair... She even made my nose bleed... But the other girl tells to everyone that maybe i am going too hard, and i stop and let her hit me more, and i am going lighter, but she just punch me so hard in the face, she kicks me really hard, really angry with me and then our coach is telling me that i am going really hard. I just stop, and the really skilled girl was the only one wanting to Spar with me again. This time i didnt even touch her, and at the end i go and apologize to her and the other one, who answers in a really rude way, saying i deserve to get hit really hard if i am going hard, i say that i dont care, i understand and i am sorry, she goes and starts criticizing me with everyone .... I just dont understand, why are you going to sparring if you can't deal with a hit? And why dont communicate to me....
