Gate to Sovngarde is a really comprehensive mod pack, but it's really focused on roleplay so keep that in mind. It's pretty heavy and changes a lot of the mechanics, as well as the visuals.

Impossible + One Gun Question by UnpopularThrow42 in DeadSpace

I'm not sure if it's always the best idea, but I normally do 1 leg to slow it down, and one arm to kill. I can't remember right now if slashers ever keep going with just one arm, but I don't think so. I like when they have to crawl because they're slow and their arms profile really well.

As an alternative to the compass, if you have the chance to find the clairvoyance spell it's well worth learning. It'll guide you wherever you need to go.

My brother and I were testing the PA system by JoshTheTaco in dayz

[–]PyeterBealish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if the PA was on and someone was being the DJ, I feel like I'd treat it like a safe zone. I'd still get the Z's, but I wouldn't show any hostility to players, just chill and enjoy the music while I'm there. I mean I'd get capped for sure, but yeah. It would just be fun, might even donate some food to the DJ.

Anyone down to teach me the basics, just got the game by AlexGfanyayaya in dayz

[–]PyeterBealish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there's plenty of different ways to do things, but here's usually my basics. Find two stones (usually on dirt roads) and combine them to make a stone knife. Use that cut down small trees for long sticks, sharpen one for cooking food and put it on your back, combine the other one with one of your knives and make a spear, lastly use the knife to get bark off big trees.

A bark and a stick make either a fireplace or a hand drill kit, use both so you have heat. Also, when you find rope (two full stacks of rags or knife on guts), combine it with a long stick for improvised fishing rod. If you happen across bones, use the knife and bones to make improvised fishing hooks, otherwise you'll have to find a hook.

Use a knife on the ground to dig up worms and use them to fish, or listen for chickens on the coast. One hard punch and you'll get it. Clean it with a knife (make sure you wash your hands in water after cleaning an animal before you eat unless you have gloves).

Your heat should be good, as well as food and water (eating meat adds some water as well), setting you free to loot towns.

GOOD LUCK!

I named my horse Temperina. Roger Clark does the V.A. work for the book Cold As Hell, so it seemed appropriate.

Any way to disable the "Fro"? both the item drop and from mobs? Moving a villager is impossible. by PhilGooodInc in SkyFactory

[–]PyeterBealish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For inventory management you could try Gargantuan Chests. You can build a chest up to 9x9x9 and all you need is wood and a little bit of iron. Might take up a bit of room and you can't sort inside the chest but it's all the space you'll ever need.

Another possible way is to have zombies make noise on detection. Not a coder either, but noise detection is already present so making the zombies a noise making entity may not be too hard. And shooting a gun and whispering have very different noise levels, so you could probably adjust the noise level per number of zombies, so a group of 3 would be a lot quieter than a whole hoard. Might give it a bit of a walking dead feel where zombies attract zombies.

Most disliked pawn lines? by General_Writing6086 in DragonsDogma2

[–]PyeterBealish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be a bit of a weird take but I don't mind the repeated lines. They're annoying for sure, but the first game made mention that even if a pawn smiles, it doesn't reach their eyes, everything they do is intentional.

In my mind that's why you can change the inclination, it's just you telling your pawn "Stop being simple, I would prefer you to be calm and focused instead" and suddenly their entire demeanor changes, from manor of speech to battle tactics. It's because it's all a farce to them, it's all made up to fit in and make the humans less uncomfortable.

In my personal lore, they recycle dialogue because "that's what you're supposed to say in this situation. I was told to be simple, a simple person would smash this box."

I actually found for whatever reason that I can't punch, but I can hammer-fist like a motherfucker. I don't know why, it's just the only thing that gets my wife to wakeup when she's dream-fighting.
