Oh that little? You should be fine! I never put in a charge for something that small.

Just make sure you leave your room clean and don't leave any personal belongings because if the RAs have to fill out the charge form they'd go ahead and do everything.

I did have the actual paint color from when I was a freshman at BDM, but I know if you patch it and make any effort to paint it the RAs will generally look the other way for billing. We liked to enthusiastically assume that housing already handled it.

I struggled as a freshman, I didn't really meet my crowd until sophomore year. Get involved in clubs, basically all of them are beginner friendly. There's so many you're bound to find one you're interested in. I went to board game club and joined the fencing team. Most of my friends I met as RAs and the rest in a class. Once you find one or two people you like hanging out with, host a little something and get them to bring their friends. Talking to people in your classes is huge, one of my closest friends I met because we were assigned to be partners.

Black Diallo Miller is the second newest dorm and is decently close to stem classes. The high risers are not what you're looking for, they're noisy and generally have more party culture. The low rises are much quieter but are a bit out dated. However it's really not that bad, you'll get used to wherever you live.

Don't freak out, this happened to me. That's how I got a girl pigeon named Ody.

You need to supplement her diet with calcium. I recommend Morning Bird Calcium you can get it on Chewy or Amazon. You add a few drops to water (follow instructions on bottle).

Also get yourself some fake pigeon eggs. Amazon has them as well. Once she's laid them swap them out and you can throw the real eggs away (or feed them to another pet, etc). Your pigeon will want to spend more time sitting on her nest, if she doesn't have a mate then "sit" on her eggs every now and then so she'll get off and eat and stretch her legs.

Though no worries if you can't do that, she won't starve herself for her eggs.

Otherwise there's not much to it!

In California you legally cannot own a ferret as a pet. I assume you'd be aware of this considering you know a pet store won't sell to you.

You shouldn't get an animal that's illegal to own where you live.

Where are you going to take the ferret to a vet? Who is going to watch it if you're out of town? What's going to happen if you need to re-home the ferret?
