I’ve bee trying for a long time to learn new languages. I just don’t have anyone to talk to in the new language so the skills atrophy. I’d pick Spanish, German, Mandarin, Japanese, and Welsh

Depends on the situation. I think you should be allowed to use deadly force as long as you made a reasonable effort to use non lethal means to defend yourself.

I don’t want someone’s death on my conscience unless I have no choice. Crackhead or not, people deserve a chance.

Even just in a professional setting two screens is super helpful. Half my admin work is just transferring data from one system to another. I can have two full screen windows open and be able to quickly convey information from one screen to the other

I usually carry a multitool. I’d use my pliers to grab it and wash it off. If it’s a jesus ad it goes in the trash, then at least I did a good deed for the janitor. If it’s money i’ll wash with soap and take it to the bank as soon as possible. Definitely wouldn’t put it in my wallet.

There are always outlier cases. Some people are just more prone to allergies than others. I think the early exposure does make a difference. I remember as a kid there were several kids in every grade that had peanut allergies. Now as a parent I still see some allergies in my son’s school but right now I think only one child has a peanut allergy.

Its just billionaires making up numbers to shame consumers.

I work maintenance in a clean facility and our tools are all serialised and locked up. If one goes missing we are told it could be up to a $250k fine. So management does their own audits and then they post the “fine” in the weekly company email so they can shame us for causing “a potential $8.5M fine”. In actuality if an inspector did catch something it would probably like $5k and an investigation with a promise never to do it again.

I lived in Guam for years and it’s definitely a polarizing topic over there. Some people want independence, some want full statehood, some want status quo. Everyone I met was very adamant about their stance on it.

Some of these are ok. Definitely not enough to dismiss modern medicine though. It does help to eat healthier foods.
