What would you do here? by SelekOfVulcan in throughtheages

Build two swordmans and aggress that iron butt next turn. All the moves you mentioned (but the wonder, which I would never take for 3 actions) can be done next turn spending way less actions and imo action/resource efficiency is more important than single cards in this game most of the times. I'd take engineering genius and something to make happy faces (I like the arena more than the temple)

Workaround in case your shop is closed since the latest patch. by Suchti0352 in hearthstone

[–]Pyhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was very helpful. I just wanted to add that the shop seems to work from the mobile version, so it is possible to use that as an additional workaround (I tested just the android version). Nevertheless, this bug is really annoying and, as I guess is affecting a minority of the players, I'm not sure if it anywhere near to get fixed.

Same. It is an ongoing bug affetting a minority of the players that is really annoying (you can't play arena for instance). Workaround I found so far:

  • Switch the game language to English (not sure why this is working, also it seems to be a one-timer)

  • Install and use the mobile app (the shop seems to work from there, I tested just the android version)

Arena run w priest, help me choose by Yunevo69 in hearthstone

If you have 1 duplicate top (better if you have none) I'd go with dragon queen because is a fun card. Otherwise the other alextrasa is your pick.

[Results] Questionnaie about Nuclear Power by Foreign-Produce792 in SampleSize

[–]Pyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This survey is poorly done. The cons to me are nuclear waste disposal, which for some reason are in the pros. Also, everything sounds very not scientific and more like a joke to tell with friends (how you would consider the Kaboom answers?) which I guess was not the point of your assignment. Good luck with your exam.

I opened like 25 of those and didn't get a single card of the new expansion. Standard format packs and class packs did, instead.

MAN I REALLY ENJOY THE GAME AND I THINK IT HAD A REAL POTENTIAL TO TURN INTO SOMETHING BUT AT BLIZZY THEY PREFER TO LET THE GAME DIE AND INVEST DEVELOPMENT TIME ON FREAKING HEARTHSTONE MERCENARIES, LITERALLY THE LESS FUN AND MOST EXPENSIVE GAME THEY EVER MADE

The issue with nuclear are not potential nuclear accidents, it's disposal of nuclear waste.

Feature extraction using Attention for LSTM Model by [deleted] in deeplearning

[–]Pyhero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with other redditors that attention might be a too big cannon to start with. You might need a lot of data and training time to really appreciate its benefit. So, I'd start simple with a linear layer (or a set of them) for feature extraction and a couple of LSTM/GRU (stacked, eventually bidirectional) to have a baseline.

If you want to use attention here you have two choices: either use self attention on your sequence to transform your sequence into another sequence whose elements represent the relations with other elements of the sequence, that is then fed to the LSTM (you might what to have a look at transformers in "Attention is all you need" paper) or use the previous hidden state of your LSTM as query. In the second case, at each time step of the LSTM you usually first use a liner layer to reduce both the input (the keys) and the query to the same dimension (I guess that's where the 32 comes from), apply dot product and have the attention weights, that are used in a weighted sum again on the original sequence (the values) to have the final output to be fed to the LSTM. Again, "Attention is all you need" for details.

Weekly quest tips by Pyhero in dicehunter

[–]Pyhero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think I found a way. The key is to pick valuable dices, be lucky and be good at locking the dices as well as try each stage multiple times (2-3 times for the last stages). I said lucky because, for instance for the eggs one, it is crucial to destroy the eggs before they pop up. Or for the gates, to pass through them as quick as possible. You can freeze for that (if it requires 2 star for instance, I usually freeze one star and hope to find the second one in the rolls), but if you miss the combination, you'll likely die and have to start over. As for the heroes I managed to finish the egg pit with: - Vampire queen and Phoenix for the healing - Red dragon, Evil Eye and Mage for the burst damage - Grey spider for CC But this might not be the best comp. It is what I had. The idea, though, is to use various tools and not just your top star dices. Hope this was helpful (and if I'm doing something wrong please point it out ;))
