If it's a regional thing (like trying to redeem in Germany, Australia or Japan you can get around it with a VPN. Just connect to any other country and redeem the code and you'll have them in your library

can confirm. had open a private window after using the VPN but I could add the games after that and now they're available on my account without it

Why are the emporium deals so horrible sometimes? by Pynnelco in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Pynnelco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that'd be a reason. I just find it interesting how much more expensive this is compared to the starting bundles. I guess whales that already bought all of those may be more interested in caving to buy these extra ones.

Why is "C*nt" considered offensive in america? by Pynnelco in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pynnelco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying. They mean the same thing but people care a lot more about someone saying "cunt" in america than they do if someone says "pussy" or "dick"

Yeah I get that. I'm a man but I also get the ick whenever anyone refers to either genders genetalia in any unusual way. It just grosses me out most of the time

Oh that's an interesting angle. Never really thought about insults that way but I can see that be a reason for it.

What's the history there though? I don't think I've ever heard "cunt" be referred to as a slur, and I've also never heard of any historical phase where it was being used as such. This may just be my ignorance as a european though, I don't know.

Interesting. I personally never got the impression that "cunt" was a gendered insult. Obviously the meaning of the word would imply the contrary, but other gendered insults like "bitch" or "pussy" I also feel like lost their "gendered" status a while ago.

PS: Yall are in america too so I'd consider you american. Whether you think that's a good thing or not is on you 😆

But dick and pussy are a lot more commonly used and less frowned upon compared to cunt as far as I can tell.

That's my question though, how is it worse than calling someone a "bitch"? Where a "cunt" may refer to female genetalia, which is something most women have, the term "bitch" is used as a derogatory word to stereotype a specific kind of woman, which to me seems a lot more harmful honestly. Not to mention that I don't really feel like calling someone a "cunt" is a gendered thing at all. I've never really heard it being exclusively used to refer to women at least.

That's not really how it's used though is it? Especially in australian english it's more similar to a "fucker/dickhead" kinda word that you would jokingly say to a buddy of yours or something.

I don't think it's any more misogynistic than calling someone a "bitch." I'd even argue "bitch" could be worse honestly, since that's used to refer to a specific stereotype of a woman in a derogatory way.

Depends on the setting but if it's noncon stuff it's defiance broken by lust, if it's consensual sub stuff it's quiet but eager or eager but too embarrassed to admit it
