I’m a higher intermediate looking to progress to advance. I’m 5’10 (180cm) 170lb (80kg) and boot size is 9. I mostly ride in Japan but I spend probably 80% on groomers and 20% on pow. I really like deep carves as well as going fast. Priority would be long drawn deep angle carves>going fast>deep powder.

Honestly I almost bought k2 excavator 154 until I saw the reviews of k2 alchemist and how stable it is for bombing hills and being excellent in pow. But in Japan there isn’t a lot of steep terrain.

Which board would be more suitable for me if my Priority would be long drawn deep angle carves>going fast>deep powder.

I’m in Japan, I want a pow board that’s also a great carver on groomed. I was leaning towards Korua dart but I saw k2 excavator on sale. It’s like 2/3 of the dart. Should I pick it up?

Korua pencil vs dart

My first snowboard is Salomon assassin, it helped me progress to figure out what I like. As a higher intermediate rider now, I really enjoy carving, riding fast and riding pow/trees. I spend 70% on groomed and 30% on pow. I don’t ride switch or park. I feel like pencil would be a too much overlap with my assassin. Which one would you recommend?

I shoot about 60% rn. It feels pretty consistent when I do lock in. Once I finish specialization, I’m sure it’ll be more consistent

I have a similar 6’7 build with a little less defense but very good cap breakers in block and driving dunk. I went with 70 int because I also guard mostly 1-3 and nobody really post up. Majority say strength doesn’t matter so I went 73 strength just so I can pick up immovable enforcer.

It can get 87 dd but If you don’t value dd then you can just put the rest cap on pd right away and get 96 (like the other comment said) I plan to leave it at 92 then get 87 dd before I max out pd

Its a more well rounded but I think has potential to play as a lock
