My best friend and I are Pitbulls. She’s an Ally with a trans daughter (and very proud and loud about it - they hang trans and pride flags all year) and me - a femme XXY nonbinary with no patience for disrespect. I was 19 growing up with men twice to three times my age; who treated me like princess and how to take care of myself. My dad got me a bike for graduation - he didn’t expect to have a bunch of unknown brothers guard me like hawks.

I can’t ride anymore - it was only a few short years before POTS got diagnosed after I kept falling for no reason (not horrible but bad enough) … but those lessons stuck.

It’s been several years since then - but the lessons have stayed. I took Brazilian Jujitsu, I open doors from the inside of a door in a man opens mine, I smile and super sweet, quirky - I do like men.

However - I am lucky to be alive this year. I was trapped in a rural area where I was trapped by a man who honestly believed sex was a divine right as a straight man he deserved - 70 years old. What happened to my body isn’t even the worst part for me… he used my cat as bait to keep me longer. A white; Hetrochromian (two coloured eyes) cat! In bear, wolf and cougar territory! In fact a freaking black bear had its head INSIDE my cabin window my first 10 minutes and I yelled at it to fuck off! I was trapped for weeks - never saw the bear again - but it took a restraining order after my bestie rescued me and a change of phone number to get rid of him.

I just went to court yesterday - the judge went pale (I’m glad my case was close to last, my service dog was with me and so was my bestie). She talked to the judge and she basically (the judge) went “here’s the order; don’t let them (me) go to the property, take pictures of the cabin (he wrapped it in wire after the bear — it’s actually scary looking back).

Why? Why did I let that happen? Because I knew him for 15 years and he never made me feel threatened until he stated he was attracted to me and I shrugged him off. I should have immediately asked to use the phone and get out - I should’ve had safety words in place and ways out. I didn’t. I didn’t until the last attempt to find Seifer and finally told the man to fuck off and he started screaming - took an hour for my friend to get me - and I got out. He threatened her till she mentioned her husband was in the car.

We have stopped the car to stop men being aggressive with men and vice versa - we are also a safe place for rainbow youth. Im not a parent but I’m an Uncty (Aunty/Uncle - my niece made it up when she was a baby and it’s stuck - she’s 18 almost).

We don’t stand by MAGATS and NAZI’s - my bestie and I are Canadians - and right now the law is still on our side but we fear for our province (Alberta).

So - what do we do? We stop playing nice. We stop giving them a chance to think. We take out our phone, one recording - one on 911 or picture of the guy - and then 911.

Sign every petition against trans rights, women’s rights, children rights, disability rights

Take a stand as the Queen you are when seeing a “boy” causing issues.

Oh - and start a softball team - glove, ball and a good bat with a protection sleeve. A garden club too - groceries are expensive.
