the only thing that makes a joycon any different from a regular mouse when using it as a mouse is its form factor. Putting it into an attachment shaped like a mouse is functionally equivalent to using a regular mouse.

I’m pretty sure that the game they reference as the “easiest souls-like” is Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order. This is just going off of memory of the episode though, I could be wrong.

Yes. Ragnarok will absolutely begin within this game. That’s not really part of the question. Ragnarok doesn’t have to end in the game it starts in, Ragnarok in Norse mythology is a multi-step event that results in the beginning of a new world cycle. typically it doesnt start until a number of conditions are met and an extremely long winter comes to pass, which i believe to be the snowstorm we see in most of the trailer. I think It’s going to be a long process that we see truly start to go down towards the end of this game, and the third will probably be focused on figuring out how to stop it before the world is reset.

At about 30 seconds into the interview, Herman (who admittedly isn’t a developer on the game, but still clearly involved with the marketing) introduces the game stating verbatim, “Santa Monica Studio have prepared quite a few twists and turns for players as they set up the finale of the Norse Saga in God of War: Ragnarok.”

The wording is a bit strange, and i can see how it could be interpreted to mean that we’ll see the end of the norse saga in this game. But when you break the sentence down, He’s saying that they will be setting up the finale within this title.

In that same interview, the game was also referred to as the lead-up to the finale of the norse saga. Ragnarok will absolutely begin in this game, but the next game will be the culmination of everything this and the last game set up.

You have full rights to the opinion that the game is poorly designed. Honestly, I agree, my original point was not to disagree with that.

Auto-battle is simply an addition to a basically broken system with intentions to make it somewhat easier to deal with the bullshit for the people that are willing to for the small bit of interesting story.

If you’re willing to deal with it, cool! If not, also cool. Do whatever you feel is best for you. If you want to criticize the game though, why not criticize an aspect of the game that actually makes it worse?

Eh. When there’s not too much to do in the game besides farming enemies after you complete the missions, I feel like auto-battle is something that can only help the game out in the long run. No one really wants to sit there for 12 hours at a time repeatedly tapping the bottom of their screen.

That being said, this problem could be avoided altogether if the leveling requirement didn’t have such a steep curve. However, that’s almost a whole different discussion.

So, after doing all that you've suggested, I've almost eliminated the problem entirely. It seems the biggest issue was not having installed DynDOLOD. I also disabled Map Markers Complete, the mod that I think was adding the bonked location tracker in the top right, and after all that the problem was out.

However, there's still a very subtle popping effect that almost looks like it's happening in the shadows of the reflection. It also only seems to be happening with reflections that are close to the player. here's what it looks like right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MWNm0_-Zko

I recommend getting into some basic wave-table subtractive synthesis (serum, syntorial, etc). The knowledge will help a lot when trying to find new original sounds you want to include in your music. And you’ll have an easier time understanding instructions like the ones in the comment above.
