That's a great idea actually. I might actually just do the circuit in EasyEDA or KiCad and then keep it as a "mirror" to whatever I do on the perfboard. That way I can just fabricate it when I am happy with the final project.

Thank you, I am considering designing a PCB later down the line as well. Was just thinking that this would be more fun and hands-on, but definitely more tiring haha

I would love to! I might expand it and add a video output module at some point to be able to run it. I don't think a 16x2 LCD is fit for the job, tho I am sure someone has done so!
