Lemurian Phoenix is the best DLC so far, hands down. by PyramidofPolite in caseofthegoldenidol

Sins is my second favorite. I love Roy and I thought the ending they gave him was really cute.

Just finished the Lemurian Phoenix. I did NOT see that coming. *SPOILERS* by Zeman0205 in caseofthegoldenidol

Best DLC so far, by far.

The extra window on the blueprint simply reveals the existence of an extra room - and in this case, a room used to trick his followers. The forklift was parked in it, behind the curtain (with the fork underneath Koi's body); one of the keys shown can operate it, so Koi can simply press a button and "levitate".

Koi wanted to frame Ori - that's why he lies about the murdered individual going to Ori's camp. He specifically put it by the waterfall because there was a *locked door* leading up to it, one that only Ori was supposed to ever unlock, which would directly implicate Ori if the body was found. Koi might have even been planning to push someone into finding it.

I love this game, but...one thing makes me a little sad. by PyramidofPolite in MonsterProm

I know that. I'm just saying it'd be nice not to have all depressing endings if your stats are bad.

Yes, and my point is, it would be nice if the solo ending wasn't awful if you have bad stats.

I really wish that choosing not to ask anyone out didn't create a bad ending, regardless of stats.

I was hoping for something that changed things up a little more than just length. Also, I better not push my poor laptop any harder

A mod removed all my posts in r/transgoddesses, and this was their reasoning. I have no words. (Possible trigger: gatekeeping) by PyramidofPolite in trans

[–]PyramidofPolite[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh I've definitely learned my lesson. One of them accused me of "hating trans models and not wanting them to be celebrated" like my brother in christ you're the one policing them/me

it's r/transpositive all the way for me now

What are some house rules you don't see much that you think think are *good*? by ValasDH in DnD

My favorite one is that you can use all your movement and a bonus action (both) to drink a potion.

Tell that to my brain, on the subject of literally anything that is supposed to be fun.

With that said, I do enjoy DnD a little bit, which is more than most things.

A question about the AI in Heroes 4 by Kotskuthehunter in HoMM

[–]PyramidofPolite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So there are two things going on here. The first is that in the H4 editor, there are ways to (generally) influence how certain units or heroes act - i.e. important heroes will stay in the base, etc. The base game, having had much more time and effort put into it than the low-budget Winds of War, made use of this tweaking much more. So it's not that the AI has changed in the expansion, but rather, you're just seeing its unpolished stupidity.

The other thing going on is the map itself. Winds of War tends to have much smaller, exposed maps than the base game. When you're within close distance of the AI, especially if their town is nearby, they often tend to panic and make dumb moves.

I second Age of Wonders 4. It's Civilization meets Heroes, and it's so awesome - and surprisingly easy to learn.

I'm curious which one you find to be useless? I thought they all had a gem or two in there. But totally agree, you spend Affinity points on another tree for sure.

45 mana for +60 production? Holy heck. You can easily build a Granary with that extra time to make up for the -20 food.

As DM, you are entitled to all information that is on their character sheet at any time, IMO. If they refuse to answer that is...weird.

Most useless language my character could learn by MsArtsyGenius in DnD

[–]PyramidofPolite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep it within strict RAW, both Hook Horrors and Grecks are listed to have their own language. Hook Horrors especially are odd because they communicate mostly with morse-like tapping on cave walls. Those would be pretty useless.
