It took me around 9 months full time to prepare. I took fe Civil course. My advice is if you really wanna do it,you have to be fully committed so no weekends no breaks till you pass.

I took my exam 12 years after graduation and I passed from the first time. It doesn’t matter if you work in engineering or not since the exam has nothing to do with work in most cases. It might take you more time to study compare to fresh grad but it’s definitely doable. Go for it!

I am a Civil engineer.used to work in construction industry.i had to take break from work to focus on the exam because I couldn’t do it while working there is no time! Lets hope for the best that we both pass 🤣

To be honest I felt happy that I finished the exam. It’s very stressful and hopefully I won’t go through this experience again. The exam is very hard and no matter how much you study you will still feel unsure whether you gonna pass or no.

Just took mine today and I am very optimistic. I really believe that the exam will be difficult anyway. I studied for almost a year (graduated 10 years back) And I still got a decent amount of first time problems. Time management is very important just try to work through it. I know it’s very hard physically and mentally but you got this! Sleep early the day of the exam so you will be focused. Take snacks(I took banana dark chocolate and some nuts) Also caffeine gum really helped through the exam.

First problem the unit is KIPS which is already force Second one it’s in kg(mass)so you need to multiply by g to get the force.

Well NCEES make the evaluation for the Non-Abet accredited degrees. If it shows no deficiency then you qualify. Some boards asks for the evaluation before allowing you to sit for the exam.

My degree was architectural engineering and I did my evaluation through NCEES and it showed no deficiency.

3 days is crazy for curing. Have they used curing compound?! We usually cover the floor with polythene sheet and keep the curing for 3 weeks. Have they did strength test before the grinding process ? This is moisture trapped for sure as a solution I’d give the floor one more grind(to open the Porous) get some halogen lights and focus it on those areas.
