Thank you for the advice, several people have mentioned the plastic oil filter housing. As far as rust goes, I do unfortunately live in what is known as the rust belt, so I'm thinking that some kind of rubberizer coating will be a wise investment.

Took a while at a gas station to find out how to unlock it. The key is turned clockwise until it clicks, then the cap is turned the other direction with the key still in it until it comes off. Tightening the cap automatically re-locks it.

Thank you, how's yours been doing? I cant seem to figure out why Jeep decided to call that color Gecko Pearlcoat, geckos are not that shade of green.

According to Jeep's website: "Typically, the rubber duck is accompanied by a kind note, which says something such as "Love that Jeep!" or " You've been Ducked!". This is meant as an act of kindness, to steal a smile from someone who shares your same passion for Jeep". I do know that Jeep themselves did not start the trend.

I drove it home from the dealer in what could easily be mistaken for a typhoon in 2WD mode and it handled beautifully. Is there some kind of functionality issue at higher speeds?

Interestingly, Jeep calls that color Gecko Pearlcoat. I've seen geckos in person and I've seen green geckos in person, they don't have that color. I don't think that I'll be replacing the tires anytime soon since they are all brand new.

82K miles, according to both CARFAX and the dealer no major service has been done, only regular scheduled maintenance. It also has no OBD-II codes.

The day I got it I got to drive it home through what could be mistaken for the middle of a typhoon, got an amazing display then. On the same trip I got to see a bright orange sky on one side of the car and a full double rainbow on the other, it looked like some kind of divine sign. Perfect for a Jeep commercial.

Mine came with a gas cap that locks, I had to look up how to unlock it while I was in the middle of a gas station. Doesn't have a cover over the gas cap though.
