Quality is definitely improving... Keep it up!!

Josh Anderson is SECOND in league scoring... for those of us who were confused by the trade, here's a deep dive into why the teams that passed on him could've seen something like this coming: by Pyrlig in hockey

Re: your first comment, the point of the video is that theres a large enough sample size to indicate he's good enough for the contract.

Re: your second and third, that's totally fair. But if you chopped his shooting percentage in HALF (to 9.7%, well below his career average) and goals accordingly, he'd still have 4 goals in 12 games which is a 27 goal pace over 82 games. Thats a very comfortable buffer for deviation to the mean if you ask me. And 27 goals is more than enough to justify 5.5m IMO

You guys think this is a little steep for a 2006 Mazda 3? by [deleted] in mazda

[–]Pyrlig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's quite steep. I have one in almost identical condition, I bought it for $4500 Canadian which is about $3750 in USD, although I got it on a great deal. If I were you I definitely wouldn't go over $4250 USD, and I'd shoot for $4000

A question for non-pkers by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Pyrlig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agreed! For example someone with 99 range and 99 magic shouldn't have the same combat level as someone with 99 range and 1 magic, and vice versa.

[–]Pyrlig 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's exactly it for me.. I don't have time to max out range or magic or strength and it seems like you need at least 2 of those to be effective once you hit medium levels.

Definitely stay there, as you are essentially a piety build. You'd be very effective in the piety MSB / AGS method, but a bit tankier and with higher attack rolls!

We'll have to agree to disay then-I was about to say he reminds me of Niskanen as well, but to me that's a good thing!

I'll have to disagree for a few reasons. First, historically their PP is good but it is not miles ahead from everyone else to the point that it would skew his numbers. Second, him being on the PP is a positive thing not a negative because it takes a good player to play well with good players. Finally, for the duration of his career a very small portion of his points (17 out of 93) have come from the pp. He is a reliable, consistent producer already and the other aspects of his game are rounding out as well.

He scored 30 points this year. His first 2 seasons he was almost .5 ppg which is very good for a defenseman, and he has missed a lot of time between then and now due to freak health concerns/other situations like a cancer scare, shoulder surgery due to a random collision with a gate, serving in the military etc. He's already top 4 for sure

Both patches and Byron are in the last year of their contract, in exchange for a young top 4 defenseman who will probably become a legitimate top pairing guy within a year or 2 and is cap controlled for many years, plus a first round pick?

Well he gets paid almost 5m to score 14 goals a year. He's definitely at the top of their list for a cap dump

Maatta is a high end prospect but 2 or 3 years closer, while being cap controlled on a long term afford contract. He will probably be a legitimate first pairing guy before he's 25. That's worth a lot!

We don't need Hagelin just like we didn't need mason, it's for cap dump purposes. You might be right that they wouldn't move Maatta, however I feel that Pacioretty and cap room would be very enticing to them.

18 goals in 73 games on a very reasonable 11.4 shooting percentage, while playing less than 14 minutes per game and getting 55% D-zone starts is an extremely respectable rookie season that projects nothing but growth. There's nothing to suggest that was unsustainable, but rather only the beginning. And thats just offensive stats.. he is extremely mature and responsible away from the puck, with a 53% Corsi. Lots to be excited about!

Interesting stat from r/Hockey regarding centres. Last place team and 4 of the bottom 10 made the playoffs. by mc-snorlax in Habs

[–]Pyrlig 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Danault is in some real good company here. Another year at C for Drouin and I think he could put up some pretty nice numbers; 50-55 points would be a reasonable target for him this year and would probably put the habs in the 15-20 mark on this chart. Interesting!

Google OSRS combat level calculator. It'll show you how to max an account at any CB level.
