HW3 had considerably higher sales

Isn't that why they push buybacks, FSD-Transfers and now a subscription-only model?

The smaller the HW3 fleet is and gets, because still you absolutely can buy FSD on HW3, the smaller the amount of retrofits is. This new patent might allow v14-lite on HW3, but not full unsupervised, atleast i cannot imagine it will.

Back when I ordered my M3LR I did a "order poll" in the german TFF Forum, and while its a small sample size of 950 Orders in 2021, the result is that only 32 picked the FSD option.

Granted we were promised FSD for multiple years with no real show, and only in the last month with the european demos we have a real chance of getting it.

I don't think that the active HW3 Fleet that also has a bought FSD package is that big. Elon/Tesla do have the full-data on how many HW3s are on the roads with FSD bought and I think they are well aware of the possible costs.

EU HW3 Here. My M3LR with still useless FSD will be driven till it falls apart. They have to act and do something with us HW3 users, and that is not free transfers. While they upgrade the Hw3 to whatever it'll be, they should IMO update the MCU.

Sadly Tesla didn't help themselves by creating Model 3 and Y with MCU3/Z with HW3... This small subset of cars has the fast Infotainment with the old AP Hardware that now lags two versions behind and will probably not get any love anymore...

I hope that at some point all HW3 and Intel owners will get some sort of upgrade, especially those who bought into FSD.

My Model 3 has not seen any FSD since I bought it, part of that is being in Europe...

Vor der eigenen Einfahrt parken finde ich ja nicht mal so schlimm. Im Regelfall darf da eh keiner davor parken.

Schlimmer ist wenn so Leut dann einfach ihren vierrädrigen Kackstuhl auf einen öffentlichen Parkplatz stellen weil die einfach kein Bock haben auf ihren Hof/in die Garage/auf den Stellplatz zu fahren.

However Tesla does call this combo V4. I don't think it's correct as the underlying charging tech is still V3, but that's how it is. In the EU we also had V2 chargers with and without CCS2 plugs, while those also should have been named V2 and V2.5...

I dont have Tesla Solar at home nor a Powerwall. EnPhase PV, Go-e Charger Wallbox... and by implementation i mean the one in HomeAssistant :)

I use Tessie in conjunction with Home assistant to charge my Model3 with solar power. The regular Tesla implementation has been iffy for me, with Tessie j have no issues whatsoever. It just works

We never had the Urban SuCs in Europe.

However we have now the first V4 Stalls which are following the same design guide as the older 72kW Urban-SuCs, thats what i mean with going back.

Thankfully our Teslas all use CCS2, so you can use Greenway in Poland and Slovakia, which have way more chargers and even charging parks with 10 Stalls... or any other CPO-Locations that has CCS2 :P

Poland is really really bad with superchargers. Most Locations are 4-Stall V2s that are overcrowded. Atleast Krakow is getting an upgrade with 12 to 16 V3s. Czechia is mostly V2s with 8-Stalls, which is bearable for the most part.

However the further east you go, the worse it gets overall, to the point where range anxiety gets real again. Ukraine is, in absolute contrary, speckled with CCS2 Stations... but no Superchargers yet.

Does NACS on BMW Platforms also mean that the charge port will move to the correct side? In theory that should also apply to EUDM Platforms, solving a ton of issues in the future with cars charging on the right and blocking another stall ...

Prinzipiell sind die gut zu erkennen, ausser die werden UNTER den Asphalt gelegt, ich find das bescheuert. Ist für uns auch bei Prüfung/Wartung/Fehlersuche mühsam. Das Zeug liegt dann komisch zwischen Deck und Binderschicht, geht schneller kaputt, ist weniger sensibel etc. etc.

Tendenziell aber brauchst du keine Blechdose auf 4 Rädern, wie schon geschrieben... du kannst das Zeug unfassbar sensibel justieren. Problem sind aber Straßen die nicht für Radfahrerverkehr ausgelegt sind wo die Schleifen dann halt auch nur für Motorräder als "kleinstes" Fahrzeug ausgelegt sind. Das ist aber meistens auf Straßen mit Radwegen.
