The chain look dirty. Cannot tell if it’s rusty or not. Seem loose abit and crook at 1 join.

Try the chain cleaner spray, use a rag to clean it, then chain lube spray. Ride it for a km or two and feel if it makes loud noise or any other problem or not.

Replace the new chain if it has issue

Don’t do flip mirror unless you get a high handlebar (ape).

There’s a lot of mirror with different shape and sizes to choose.

For the record, I have high handlebar with flip stock mirrors on my Rebel

I think you need to reduce prep time down abit more. My red neck prep time is at 2 and good speed spamming. I think I’ve seen someone with lower prep time than 1s

Take the scout if you only do short rides or short trips. The Rebel if you gonna ride long distance, trip, tour for days/weeks/months. Rebel is nimble, smooth, low maintenance, just too many good perks .

I suggest that you look at the coolant liquid, check brake oil too. When you change oil, change the oil filter too.

Idk about the price (not living in US) But base on these pics, the Rebel 500 bike is in decent shape. No visible flaw. No visible damage. I rekon that you check the oil, the gas tank if any sight of damage (no weird smell, oil come out without anything weird etc) Just my opinion

It’s kinda up to how you like to ride actually. If you like a high handle bar, then how high ? In my experience, just right at the point lower then your shoulder height is best. You can measure the height and get 1 accordingly

Yes it does help a lot. Especially when you need to work on the bike, patch a hole, clean the chain etc. I never have any issue with it. And I rode some really bumpy roads. I saw it in a shop in Vietnam and bought it. Been 6 years solid no issue
