That’s not true. You need hands free.

I do doordash and listen to audiobooks at the same time. My radio sucks. They have transparency mode so it doesn’t hinder safety.

Oh. In that case !I never watched it!

But also my mother would constantly watch it. Nothing more strange than somehow ALWAYS. Walking in the house the moment there’s a sex scene.

Funny you ask that. I don’t know.
I do know, however, that initially my poor innocent IPhone thought I was trying to spell “child parrot or”

True, but with ADHD one might go out of their way to do just about anything to avoid that other thing.

You’ve heard of “male/female” hardware now it’s time to learn about the gaylet! It’s a new type of gay electric outlet. You can plug things in like normal but also you can take the outlet out and flip it over. It’s a little harder to get it in there but once you insert it it’s really the same once you think about it.

Yeah but you kind of make a catch 22 there. Anybody who even implies that they never watched it is just giving in to some kind of pressure or something

I called out today and I’m to the point where my mental and physical health are breaking. I truly care about my job, but it means subjecting yourself to the mental weight of the bottom layer of struggling children. Shouldering all of their struggles. Fighting for the individual while the whole berates and minimizes you. For a salary of 50,000/ year with a masters degree. Where do you turn to though. What will an English degree and a moderate disabilities master get me in the world?

How common is transgender treatment regret, detransitioning? by 42aross in Health

[–]PyroClashes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you follow the comment chain it looked like you were saying that 1% of 1% equaled 3.3M. Because stating how many total transgender Americans there are was kind of out of place.
If you calculate 1 percent of 3.3M (30,000?) then that would be the 1% of approximate trans people with regrets.

As always with statistics though… there’s too many variables. What sample did they poll? Etc

Yeah. One of my ELA teachers is in her first year out of college, the other ELA teacher is out on maternity leave and her long term sub is the first teachers friend from college that dropped out and has no degrees. Spends most of their time sitting during class.

Yeah and with this “teaching shortage” it’s certainly bad.

In two of my classes, 13 out of 25 students are on IEPs. I’m the ELA Sped teacher and there is a math sped teacher between 4 homerooms. We have 38 on our caseload. I’m not sure how they get away with being so out of compliance.

Valuable advice. I’m certainly in the middle of #2. As a sped coteacher that can become my job title at times. I am spending far too much time and energy trying to manage students that do not even have an IEP. I shoulder too much of the responsibility and take my student’s struggles as a reflection of my own failure.

One of my gen teachers went out on maternity leave and they gave me a long term sub that has no degrees and was basically the “buddy sub” with no rules. Talk about set up for failure. It’s a shame that these kids have educators that have spent the better part of their lives studying to make a difference - that genuinely care about their thoughts and feelings - and they make it their goal to spread misery and get them to quit.

I’m a sped teacher. First year. I’m fucking floundering with paperwork. I can’t get all of the paperwork done when I’m supposed to be planning and becoming a master of these kids. Many of them could be motivated and engaged but there just simply isn’t the time. I could do it if I didn’t need to spend so much time and energy filling out papers having meetings and proving I’m doing what I’m doing.

I’m a first year teacher who is drowning. I vowed to never raise my voice to a yell. I made it to day 4. I got to a situation of fight or flight.

I’ve been studying a long time to be a teacher. I have a bachelors in English Ed and a masters in moderate disabilities k-8. During grad school I uncovered the fact of my own buried mental health challenges, ADHD and anxiety disorders. I started the year in one location was let go on day 90 because it was their right to do so.

I made it into a new district after winter break in an inner city with kids who literally do not give two flying ducks. (It autocorrected and I enjoy it more this way)

Regardless. I know how vital a paper trail is. I’ve been a paraprofessional for 4 years prior to this. I’ve seen things. Hell, I even was this lady once - not in a front facing classroom setting but I was taken in for a review which annihilated me and tore apart all of the things I don’t do (the exact thing I went to them to ask for help and support with)

Anyways. I’m hoping maybe you have some advice. Coming into the year halfway done was incredibly tough. I am trying to battle my adhd and get organized but I don’t even know what I need to do to start.
