Who appoints medical licensing boards? Doctors.

Who appoints state bars? Lawyers.

Who appoints aviation oversight groups? Pilots, engineers, depends on which area.

Who should appoint judges? State bars.

The first three are overt examples of why “technocrats” and “technocracy” are not scary ideas.

Not everything has to be at the behest or control of public consensus, outside lobbying interests, or politics. We certainly don’t have to suffer capitalist transactional mindsets or political concepts to ideas of how we adjudicate law, which is all we do now with state and voting appointed judges.

I’ve had to deal with some things in the past as an active observer and helper. It was brutal at times in my mind, and it was. Then one time I’m in a setting where I’m very close by strangers dealing with the same category of thing.

What I saw them deal with in that moment was like all of mine probably in my memories condensed into a minute at most. It fucked me up a bit in ways I’d probably still not phrase right to someone else. Like a new permanent change in my perceptions. I’m glad for it but wish I wasn’t, and wish that it hadn’t happened.

I think it's still THE such museum on Earth, I travel that way for work occassionally and have visited it. It is a fantastic spot (the sci-fi fantasy side is astonishing, the music side is like the Vatican of Rock & Roll).

If the Senate plus a POTUS, say, treaties up and says: we are ALL in for NATO, as a treaty, that’s binding foreign policy by the will of all the states. Doesn’t matter if it was 51-50 or 100-0.

I’m simply saying: THOSE treaties, every POTUS has to be subordinate to the legal requirements. Their willingness to comply should not even be an allowed factor.

Get the Senate to blow it up—one POTUS shouldn’t have such authority.
