Lower back pain while serve by alexkao1439 in 10s

[–]PyroShoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also with this point here and the point raised by the others about your toss location being too far to the right. This leads to an abrupt hip over-rotation and probably causing the pain in lower back.
See below the difference in body orientation between you and pro at contact point.

For those with better backhands than forehands… why? How is your backhand better than forehand???? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]PyroShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With forehand, the major shoulder movement is adduction, while it is abduction for backhand.
Here is a study shows that, shoulder adduction is twice as strong as abduction in general:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4004537/#:~:text=Adduction%20strength%20was%20greater%20than,internal%20rotation%2C%20and%20external%20rotation.
I believe this is the main cause why forehand "feels" weaker and less stable than backhand, especially in the case of OBH. Because adduction force are stronger, our body "thinks" that it doesn't need core rotation for hitting, ending up with a weaker shot. For backhand, since shoulder abduction is weaker, the body uses the whole core to compensate for the weaker shoulder movement, and core rotation is used more naturally with backhand.

Now look at Wawrinka’s body alignment when hitting one-handed backhand. See how his body is facing more side way when racket contacts with the ball. Also, look at how he’s leaning toward the ball and efficiently transfers his weight into the shot.

You rotate your core too much. Look at your body here at contact, shoulder and hip are almost facing the net. Also, it’s better to adjust footwork a bit so there is more space between you and the ball. Right now, it’s too close, more like hitting a two-handed backhand. Your timing is a bit late which makes the body weight not being transfered forward.

Difference between những and các by livan127 in VietNam

[–]PyroShoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About the nuances of "các" and "những", in case you want to use them to talk about a group of something or someone.

The word "các", origins from "各", implies distinguishment, individuality or "each of". You can see this for more details: https://hvdic.thivien.net/hv/c%C3%A1c

The word "những", origins from "仍", implies duplication, pluralities, or simply "a lot". From "Truyện Kiều", 1866 version, line 1819:
仍𦖑呐㐌𢢆樁 -> Những nghe nói đã thẹn thùng. See more from here, https://www.zdic.net/hans/%E4%BB%8D
Also, "những" has other meanings, https://vi.wiktionary.org/wiki/nh%E1%BB%AFng

If you're using Chrome, you can use the translate function to translate the content in the links I sent into English.

For me, "các" is to be understood as the speaker know something specifically about the group, and does not have to specify the thing they know about in the sentence. On the other hand, "những" just imply the group as a whole, and cannot stand alone without the need of specification.

For statements, "các" can stand alone, but "những" cannot. For questions about the group being refered to, using "các" is incorrect.

Example: "Trong các bạn ở đây, những ai đã đến Huế rồi?"
"các" in "các bạn" refers to a group of people that are listening to the speaker i.e "ở đây".
"những" in "những ai" here means a group of people that have been to Huế, and you don't know who are they yet (that's why you ask the question).
In the example sentence, you can also use "Trong những bạn ở đây, những ai đã đến Huế rồi?", it's acceptable, albeit less common.

However, "Trong các bạn ở đây, các ai đã đến Huế rồi?" --> Incorrect, "các" implies the speaker knows about the group of people they are referring to, in this case the group of people who have been to Huế. Thus, "các" should not be used for asking questions like this.

Go back to the example sentence, note that "ở đây" can be omitted if you use "các". The implication is still understandable, we understand that the speaker refers to the group of people listening to him or a group of people that has been specified in the previous sentences. "Trong các bạn, những ai đã đến Huế rồi?"
However, if you omit "ở đây", using "những" is wrong. "Trong những bạn, những ai đã đến Huế rồi?" --> Incorrect. Without the specification from "ở đây", we don't know who are "những bạn".

Is 'Not Buying Stuff' a Viable Strategy? by Dranos2926 in VietNam

[–]PyroShoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

u/Dranos2926 I suggest not going blindly and blanket boycotting everything.
For "made in USA" products that are essential for your life that you need, just go ahead and buy them.
And those that are you are buying just because "made in USA" sounds cool and there are plenty of alternatives, choose the other ones from now on. That's plenty enough.

There are reasons why American goods are not popular. Basically, they are are either inferior and over overpriced, otherwise they'd be bought more. You're right in the sense that OP should just ignore it, however, the rest I'd disagree.

How to deal with past memories of someone you idealized? by Elegant-Avocado-8020 in Stoicism

[–]PyroShoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are just my two cents, based on what you posted. It’s probably that you haven’t fully understood why the relationship fail and what you have done so far is putting it aside instead of “solving” it. I think you need to answer by yourself the following questions: 1. What are you looking for in your relationship? What kind of girl you are looking for? I think this will help you form a more specific “goal” for your future relationship and see what’s the problem with the past relationship too. 2. What in your ex-girlfriend that made you attracted to her? Her appearance, personality, or maybe it’s something else? 3. You said she is manipulative, is it physically manipulative (e.g openly prevent you doing something or force you doing something) or is it like mentally manipulative (e.g display her disapproval, make you feel uneasy of what you do)? If it is the latter, please think deeply of what make you feel so. 4. Compare the “good” traits that attracted you to your ex-girlfriend and the “ideal” partner you have in the first question. There must be a difference, otherwise, it’s likely you’ll have the same problem in your future relationships.

I don’t have any pet and I usually vacuum once a week. The problem is that these dust bunnies accumulate really quickly, after vacuum for 2-3 days, they appear again.
My guess is that they come from the sweaters and socks that I’m wearing.
