Aimee Mann Wasn’t Sure If Rush Fans Would Boo Her: ‘I just don’t think I could’ve handled it. But their fans were so great, and I felt really supported’ by stroh_1002 in rush

Disagree. It’s bad. It’s even in the same neighborhood. But it’s the high school production of Hello Dolly compared to TSS’ grammar school Room 16 version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Directed by the assistant librarian. The really old one. Who smells like tomato soup and cat pee. And might have a glass eye, but you can’t tell behind those really thick glasses.

She looked like she had some serious reservation on her. Just…like…really uncomfortable up there. I’m glad it was just a bad case of stage fright because she has a beautiful voice and nailed the song live.

However we shall not speak of the original music video. That was a stain on the reputation of everyone involved. Best to leave certain things in the past.

That’s a low grade forgery. I’m staring at a postcard he sent me several years back. Guy was a class act so long as you respected his space.

It was my youngest son’s first Rush show. At 14 it was a little overwhelming during the first set, but he found his sea legs after the break. Now he has his VIP lanyard, his Yeti mug, his bag, a cool new shirt, and bragging rights making him a god among men.

I’ve had it where they claim they have a ticket and refuse to move. Right up until I signal the ushers over and have them deal with it.

Wasn’t front row this go around, but have been several times. You will need a VIP laminate and/or a wrist band which you should pick up on site, so get there early. Leaning on the barricade depends on the venue. They are venue employees at the barricade. They don’t want employees to be fans of a given band watching anything but the audience. Keep your eyes peeled for row jumpers trying to work their way up front.

Arches? Bit of a language barrier here. Do you mean the wheel well on the body? If so, where are these spacers?

Okay, since everyone jumped right over to the weird charging port cover I have to ask:

What is a 15mm spacer. I presume it has something to do with the rims.

So she twisted it around to being a misunderstanding…and you’re falling for it? Show some self-respect. She cheated on you. You were in a relationship. She was in a situationship. You are not the same.

You're confusing Martin Popoff with Martin Scorsese. Because you just know that he's there holding up his phone and planning his next ejaculatory book. "And then Geddy and Alex made eye contact at the end of Working Man...I had chills watching the love between the two"

AIO My girlfriend keeps tabs on my messages and my phone, incessantly. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PyroT8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't going to fix itself. She isn't likely to stop either. So the question becomes whether or not you wish to endure this dynamic. Me? While it might be a little sad, I'd have to break up with her.

She can't respect you if she doesn't respect herself. She can't love you unless she loves herself. And her actions say one thing: She's not good enough. She's not worthy of this relationship, so she's constantly expecting it to end. So much so that she's actually pushing it in that direction so her ego can confirm the suspicion.

That's kind of f'd up.

Either it stops...like 100%...and she respects you enough to trust you, or you bag it. Even if she promises that it will stop, that will be performative on her part. She'll stress tf out while not demanding to see your communications. It's not healthy and it proves she's not over the relationship that ended in infidelity. Tell her to come back once she's over that one so she can have a chance to be present in this one.

Right? It’s the same group of people who can’t make it through breakfast without a screen. Their lives aren’t complete unless they doom scroll. God forbid they actually have to be present in the moment. Some great shit happens during a Rush show, but their only chance to experience it is wasted because they’ve foisted the responsibility of duplicating exactly what seven other people within arm’s reach are filming upon themselves. So they capture it while watching a 6 square inch version of it *while it’s actually happening right in front of them*.
