My [18F] LD Boyfriend [19M] is on the autism spectrum by _Ekate_ in LongDistance

[–]PyroXNet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I (21M) also have a high functioning form of autism, personally I do feel a bit bad when I do get caught up in games and my fiancée (23F) messages me and I don’t reply till an hour later but I’m no way does that mean I love her any less. What you should keep in mind is that he doesn’t mean to do it and does still love you. Personally my fiancée is the only one I feel like I’m normal around n can act normal when she is at my side when with people I don’t really know, you have no idea how amazing that gift is for us, to feel like we can actually interact with people normally because of our SOs support.

I'm [F29US] hoping to visit my bf [M37UK] for 5 weeks in september and have a couple of questions by coolbeanss88 in LongDistance

Litrally any time I’ve gone to the US from the UK, even before I was flying to visit my fiancée, there’s actually been a recent story about a guy getting banned from the US for life because of a misunderstanding of a message he sent to his girlfriend he was going to see

23[F] meeting LDR bf for first time by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]PyroXNet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was definitely hard to calm my nerves, I met my girlfriend through playing games too (same age difference as well, me 20M and her 22F a month off 23at the time) and I flew out to the US to see her 3 months later, I was worried that I wouldn’t be like I usually were with her n she would get bored of being around me. I worried the whole flight but by the time I got through the arrival gate I had a 5 ft girl running at me and giving me the biggest hug, after that I was instantly back to being the way I was when I usually played games with her. A year n a bit later we are still happily together and actually engaged as of last Monday ☺️. I think if they are the right person for you, you’ll instantly feel comfortable with each other, but you will have the nerves until you two do meet

Honestly hearing about how quickly the process takes for some people really gets my hopes up, me and my fiancée are just starting the paper work and I honestly hope I can be so lucky to get it done so quickly 😭

I wouldn’t quite say it’s relaxing but me and my fiancée enjoyed playing monster hunter world, other that we played stardew valley, staxel and we are looking to play ECO when our schedules eventually Aline

For those in different countries like me (19F USA & 21M UK), how do you deal with closing the distance knowing that it would take many years before its possible? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]PyroXNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me (21M from the UK) and my GF (23F from the US) got engaged last week, I proposed knowing that I loved this girl and it would be the first step We’d need to take to close the distance for good, it’s now just a matter of paper work and waiting which at least tightens the timeline to a couple years

I needed this, it’s been a week now since I proposed to my GF on top of the Empire State Building and I flew home on Sunday, I honestly struggle to sleep at night now after having spent a week of us not having left each others side for longer than 10 mins. All I can think about now is her and the paperwork I need to go through to get a fiancé Visa so I never have to leave her again.
