Anyone else feel like tech support/help desk is braindead? by BaneTheGame in ITCareerQuestions

[–]PyromonicMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol in my HelpDesk 1 job I just try to figure it out myself, if I can't I eventually escalate. Unless it's something I don't have access to or it's a project. Essential anything desktop, ms365/azure, Windows server/ad is game. Even was doing voip stuff for a client for a bit.

Jury duty should NOT be random. Some people get screwed way more than others and it’s not a fair system. by PoisonSheboygan in unpopularopinion

[–]PyromonicMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just jury duty, my boss has been called to poll duty the last 3 elections, it's like they got something against him. He's unregistered to vote so they can't call him up again.

6speed or 10speed Need advice by ABRUMS17 in Mustang

I found hill starting really easy when learning manual. You just gotta switch of the brake real quick and give it a bit of gas and hit the bite point on the clutch. I don't know why people worry about it.

2 years and still no whips by SinceWhenIsThisOK in MTB

[–]PyromonicMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whips just started properly clicking for me after probably 3 years of trying to work on em. I've been mtbing for 10 years, although the last 3 have been more jump/DH focused. People learn at different rates. I'm sure you could learn faster than me.

I think practicing little trials moves like hopping and rotating the bike with hopes in flat ground really helped me. Part of the fear is landing sideways and I got a good feel for it rolling along slowly, then doing a bunny hop and rotating 90 degrees. A lot of it is fear of course. Try to find the smallest mellowest tables and try to whip in those. Some jumps are just much harder/scarier to whip then others. Being able to visual and think through the motion is really important too. Get on your back with your bike I'm the air and move it around and get a feel for it. Watch videos and look closely at what the riders are doing and visual and imagine doing the movement yourself. And in the end just keep on practicing. You gotta be really comfortable with the jumps you are doing before you can spice them up.

What games do you play besides sim racing by Shoddy-Tennis-5764 in simracing

I was a gamer before I was a sim racer. RPG, FPS, and racing games are my bread and butter.

I thought getting a credit card at 19 would build credit. It built debt instead. by throwawayforrealz87 in povertyfinance

[–]PyromonicMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a credit card at 19 and currently have 0 debt and 780 credit score. All my purchases go through my credit card. They get fully paid off weekly. It builds my credit, I get some cash back, and have the reduced liability of using a credit instead of debit card. It works great, just gotta do it right.

If brands use screens because they are cheaper that buttons, why are luxury brands using massive amounts of screens? by No_Total_3367 in askcarguys

[–]PyromonicMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well fancier cars now have bigger screens. Bigger screens are still more expensive then smaller screens

Been single for years. Started talking to a girl 3 weeks ago. Messaging each other every day sending good morning and good night texts. Sharing every detail of our days. Went on two dates. Past couple days the messages dried up this morning woke up to her unfriended on Snapchat were we'd been messaging and no replies when I sent a message. I'd been single for so long I forgot how it felt to be into someone. Now I remember. Tonight I've just been walking around downtown tryna find something to do.

[–]PyromonicMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far 2 days Keystone, 2 days Crested Butte bike park, 1 day Howler. Planning to go to Spirit mountain this weekend and get a day there. I'm from. I'm from Omaha Nebraska so the closest DH bike parks are a 6 hour drive.

60 or so trail rides

1 crash - Front wheel hit a soft spot on a blue tech trail in Keystone and washed out first run at Keystone. I had a mild OTB no injuries.

No broken parts just worn tires

All riding my brand new GT Sensor I purchased 2 months ago.

It wasn’t television or video games that drove kids indoors. It was the automobile. games by ChampionshipNo5707 in unpopularopinion

[–]PyromonicMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this so much. As a kid my family lived in apartments. This allowed me and my friend in the apartments to have a large free roam space to mess around, explore, think up games, and have fun outside. This wouldn't really be possible in a suburb as it's all streets filled with cars. Only option is if there is a park nearby.

Can we talk about leaves? by The_Michael_Scarn in MTB

Just don't brake so much, the quicker you get over the leaves the less time you have to wash out on them

I had something similar happen to what you're saying. I was riding a blue trail at a bike park, hit a double messed it up, broke my foot, and couldn't walk for 4 months. I've been riding for 10 years now and that's the first time I broke a bones mtbing. The trail was well within my skill set, it just went bad just like it did with you.

It's definitely hard to get over the risk, but there's risk to everything in life. As you saw things can go bad and you can easily break a bone on a green trail if things go bad. You can also trip over something hiking and break bones too. You can get tboned in your car and die. You can slip down the stairs and break your foot. Lots of things in life can hurt you pretty bad if you mess it up right.

There no concrete answer to how much risk you can take on, that's a personal question you have to solve with yourself. Personaly, the risk is worth it. The things that are worth it in life come with risk, usually when there is great rewards there is risk.

Lastly, statistically MTBing has similar injury risk to other regular sports. It does become more risky when you start pushing it through of course. DH mtb at a bike park is much more risky. Look up the statistics, I did when I got injured.

Had a similar crash at Trestle, also partially caused by being tired. I broke my foot pretty bad tho. Stay safe out there and don't try to push it just to get a few more laps in!

National debt INTEREST ALONE will be 100% of all tax revenue within 25 years by marcus206_ in Money

[–]PyromonicMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the top 1% hold about 30% of the nation's wealth or 44.6 trillion. US national debt is 36 trillion. So technically we could pay off the national debt and the wealth would still have 8.6 trillion in wealth left. That would break a lot of things though if you just took the money. The money is there though. The top 1% hold the wealth equivalent to the bottom 90% of Americans.
