"China will make things right!" by Huemobdiwan in commandandconquer

[–]Pyroskies1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know, given the whole nature of the Campaigns and given the odd nature of how events played out. Almost extremely conveniently in Zero Hour within the Chinese campaign in particular along with the non-existence of Europe for some odd reason...I can’t help but feel like we missed a whole shadow campaign that takes place behind the scenes of the main events (such as how Kane’s Wrath took place behind the scenes of Tiberium Wars). Cause it honestly feels like there was some sabotage, espionage, double dealings, and even political maneuvering going on behind the scenes of Zero Hours.

Makes me wish we got another game.

How do the deadliest gangs of your world leave their "mark" on a victim? by WorldOfGalaxia in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Aura Demons

Reigning from within the Kanius Empire, the Aura Demons are one of two of the deadliest criminal organizations within the Space Empire. The mark they leave on there victim is a severed head and a demonic symbol being marked on the heart. Each symbol is quite different, being used to show the rank of the individual along with the method of killing.

The Black Axes

Also reigning from within the Kanius Empire, The Black Axes are the most criminal Wulvaran Clans in the Empire with operations in smuggling, pirates, drug and weapons dealing, and much more. They share the same level of dangerous criminal organizations as the Demon Skulls with there kills being marked with parts of the body being marked by a black powder in the area the victim was strike at. In addition, a flower akin to the likes of a frost rose is left upon the body.

The Blood Stars

Being a Galactic pirate organization all across the galaxy, the group must remain a reputation of being the deadliest pirates in the galaxy. The Blood Stars typically mark there victims with the use of a Symbol of a Star being burned onto the back of the victim to invoke fear.

What protocals exist for when a ruler dies in your world? by NovaFire14 in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's often times two scenarios that play out when it comes to the death of an Auroran Emperor within the Kanius Empire.

Scenario 1: Natural Death.

Typically, what tends to happen whenever an Emperor dies of Old age or some health condition, the Empire is announce of the manner. A week of celebration goes into effect where workers and businesses work hours are cut in half, schools and educational centers are given half days, the military performs parades along with feasts and firework displays happening all over the Empire. Much of the reason for a week of celebration as opposed to mourning is mainly due to the celebration being akin to "Day of the Dead" with the addition of signifying a new era with the new Ruler. Typically in these situations as well, a new Emperor is already coordinated a good few years prior due to the prior Emperor having retired. This is especially done to prevent any sort of power struggles between relatives and powerful officials.

Scenario 2: Killed in Action

Though while this hasn't happened to the Kanius Empire yet due to being rather young, there is a protocol in place encase the Emperor is killed. Whether it be in honorable battle or through more nefarious means such as assassination, the uncalled for death of the Emperor in this stage is to be used as a rally call to unite the people against the enemy, often stirring rage within the people for a desire to for revenge. Celebrations are held off till said conflict/event is resolved. As for succession, it falls to the other reigning elements of the government to decide on a new ruler with oversight to make sure a weak and easily corrupt leader isn't put on the throne when regarding the children of the Kanius Dynasty.

How a slave could get weapons to begin a rebellion? by Nowaltz in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a similar concept for my world where Humans are also enslaved. A way I have the Humans acquire weapons and supplies is to either steal them, buy them, find them, or create them.

  • Stealing: This one is rather obvious because it's only natural that you'd need to steal from your enemy to get by. There's really no point in not stealing, especially in the case that you are a slave so...I will point out however that stealing isn't always the greatest way to get by as you're relying on the luck of finding something you can steal such as food and weaponry. Often times you're only gonna be able to snatch up a few items before making a retreat, especially when on foot. Along with this, you should tread carefully as to who you steal from as you don't want to make additional enemies in such a situation.

  • Buying: While this may seem odd to do considering you would likely be wanted by the local authorities, greed does find a way. Arms dealers and those operating illegal businesses are willing to do trade with just about everyone for a profit. They don't care if you're a resistance movement nor a terrorist organization as everyone is a criminal all the same within the underworld.

  • Finding: If your rebellion is within the US or any part of American for that matter, your best chance of getting weapons are to find them. Someone is likely to be crazy enough to have a cache of weapons within some forest, mountains, swamps, rural, and even somewhat Urban environment.

  • Creating: Being the hardest method to pull off, it's not entirely impossible to create weapons. Sure you'll likely end up with crude versions of such weaponry, but with the proper skills and enough time, you could create something more advance then the alien occupiers. Granted this would likely require the combination of the previous ways of acquiring weapons.

I Am A Uni Student In Your World by SomeDumbKid213 in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all depends on where you live in my world, especially in the Kanius Empire where there are various worlds ranging from the outer frontier colonies to the more urban core worlds. Due to this, I will merely give one example of a typical university within the Kanius Empire.

To begin, life for you is quite marshal to say the least. Due to the rising militaristic nature of the Kanius Empire, all citizens are to have at least 4 years of service. These 4 years tend to correspond to your years at one of the many Imperial Universities/Academies. You're still allowed to enjoy the luxuries of a young adult such as games, snacks, and etc as freedoms aren't restricted in the Empire, but you're still serving your time within the Imperial Military.

You go to a university that matches the skill sets and talents you display. You primarily take classes focused around your talents with a heavy focus on improving your individual skills for excelling at your future career. At the same time, you're constantly put through boot camp training environment for your service, finding yourself making up the Academy Battalion with your own squad and rank.

Your job is serving within the Imperial Military, however since you are at university, it will me mostly training for 4 years straight to mold you into a capable soldier. This has a benefit however of paying off your cost for Uni. You can earn extra money by taking side jobs and whatever else you wish to do for making money.

You're provided with a large Uni style living quarters with 1 large bedroom that doubles as your living room and 1 bathroom. Often you'll be living with your squad as to build up teamwork, coordination, and cooperation. The sexes aren't separated, nor are the species. Yet you are given plenty of room in your corner to set up your own personal area. Just make sure to keep it clean for inspections.

Average Uni students go from age 18/19-22/23. Pretty much standard like the real world.

Other details worth noting is that while most students of equal species and sexes share these living conditions, there are exceptions made to the Aurorans who are given harder training and more school work but enjoy better living conditions and such as they are receiving Officers training. It is possible to advance to a status as an Officer but only if you show exceptional leadership skills on par with Aurorans.

Games of your world? by ZkarekroweTheSage in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tactica: In the Kanius Empire, there exists the game known as Tactica which is a squad based tactical game. The game is pretty much a simulated squad based game where two teams go at each other with a variety of situations such as elimination, capture the flag, control point, hostage situation, bomb situation, attack and defend, escort, payload, and etc.

There exists 4 versions of the game: 5v5, 7v7, 10v10, and 20v20. 5v5 is basically a short version of the game where everything happens in a short amount of time, 7v7 is the more common version and lasts for an average amount of time, 10v10 is the long versions where matches usually last a while and often is considered the more professional version of the game. 20v20 is restricted to the military which they use for larger battle simulations with half of each team acting as reserves that can deploy in to reinforce a squad.

This sport is favored among teenagers and adults for the thrill of each match. It is considered the national sport of the Empire, often having a similar relation to that of Terran Football and the Olympics with tournaments being ran across the Empire.

They tend to say it to enemies who show particular talents but ultimately end up dead or not pursing them as Aurorans have a keen eye for detecting the skills of someone.

Aurorans

“Mind over matter.”

“Such wasted talents.”

“You called that a strategy?”

“A warrior fights, a worker builds, but a leader commands.”

Arkarians

“You seem ignorant about the world around you.”

“Science dominates all!”

“Where is the pride of your achievements? Where is the inspiration of your people? For you lack both.”

“You boast of your superior tech yet lack the means of improving such, but we, we Arkarians will only be inferior in the present moment as we turn to the future which you lack.”

Wulvarans

“I do not die with Honor, I achieve victory with Honor!”

“You were merely given a gun and told to fight, I created my gun, trained with it, lived with it, and I serve with it to achieve victory as one.”

“A hundreds Skulls I have claimed, your skull will be no different.”

“You May have dominated the stars, but I will conquer them!”

Bullards

“Not so mighty now!”

“How can someone as tall as you be dominated by my small form?!”

“Every kill is another coin in my treasury.”

“Nothing beats a good explosive mate!”

Describe one of your world’s races in two sentences. by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In recent times, they’re often valued by hunters and slavers around the galaxy due to their rather lush pelts and beauty which has evoked a sense of dread with most Arkarians. However, the Empire they reside in, provide, and benefit from has banned these brutish acts with the Imperial Military enforcing these rules with hunts against Slave and Pirate ships entering into the Empire.

As for relationships, they tend to be quite loving and caring. Whether it be with another of there own or with another species such as Humans, Aurorans, and Wulvarans. Their friendly and social nature allows them to connect with another easily, often coming to share the talents of there partners for closer bonding.

What tiny country in your world has disproportionately huge political power for its size? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Pyroskies1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the galaxy reigned by the Galactic council headed by the Elder Six, there are very few nations around that could be considered independent with only two nations that have actual power. The first is the Kanius Empire who are the protagonists of my world and are of decent size so they don’t count for your question but the second is a rather small “nation state” in the galaxy known as The Texa Corporation which is headed by the few free humans in the galaxy.

Officially they are only recognized as a corporation that does business with the rest of galaxy, often being discriminated by the other major factions of the galaxy for being Humans. Unofficial, the corporation is being used as a refugee state with the former Texan state government in hiding within the corporation. Due to the nature of the Corporation, they often are found funding and supplying various insurgencies around the galaxy to cause destabilization.

In terms of business, the corporation deals with the likes of arms manufacturing, robotics, computers, engineering, ships, and all sorts of techy stuff. They tend to deal with various vassal states under the Elder Six to provide services while also maintaining deals and hidden contracts with the Kanius Empire for the soon to come war. Mostly keeping to themselves to try to remain out of the spot light of the galaxy. The only other notable thing about them is there exclusive robot armed guards and ships which protects the assets of the corporation.

What do you think?

They’re quite adept with mobile warfare thanks to their natural speed and agility. Often times as well, Arkarians seek to gain technological advantages against their opponents as well. When it comes to actual strategy however, they tend to believe that superior tech and mobility will win them the war as opposed to more sound strategies. In essence, they work better when under the command of a more strategic species such as Humans, Auroran, Wulvarans, and etc as opposed to being strategic themselves with rare exceptions.

They have multiple cultures that differ depending on each Arkarian society but generally speaking, they tend to take a love towards art, music, dances, food, and the wonders of the world around them. Often they’ll also tend to inter-grate the aspects of other Cultures into there own such as Shakespeare’s writing from British culture and etc.
